Falcons' Arnold Ebiketie: Career-high 6.0 sacks in 2023
Ebiketie finished 2023 with 25 tackles, 6.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defense in 17 appearances.
A 2022 second-round pick, Ebiketie appeared in one more game than his rookie season but played 130 fewer defensive snaps. This may have been by design, as the Falcons loaded up on pass rushers last offseason to ensure Ebiketie was fresh when he was on the field. Despite the reduced playing time, Ebiketie posted 3.5 more sacks than last year and proved to be a disruptor, forcing two forced fumbles for a second straight season. Bud Dupree may sign elsewhere this offseason, which would open up more snaps for Ebiketie in 2024, but the Falcons would presumably bring in someone to replace Dupree if that's the case.

Ebiketie has recorded a sack in back-to-back games following Atlanta's Week 11 bye. He has at least one sack in five of his last seven appearances after not recording one through the first five weeks of the season. Ebiketie's snap count hasn't increased during this strong stretch, but he is seeing more pass-rushing opportunities with Grady Jarrett (knee) sidelined.

Ebiketie, a 2022 second-round pick, recorded 30 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 16 games as a rookie. He got off to a slow start this year and had been playing fewer snaps compared to 2022, but that all changed against the Commanders. The Falcons pass rush is one of the worst in the NFL, but if Ebiketie can make his presence felt more often, he should quickly carve out more snaps and could emerge as an IDP option later in the season.

Falcons' Arnold Ebiketie: Clears injury report Wednesday
Ebiketie (forearm) was not listed on the Falcons' injury report Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Ebiketie missed his first game of the season Week 12 after he went out with a forearm injury in the previous contest versus Washington. The rookie second-round pick is now ready to return coming off Atlanta's bye week. Ebiketie recorded 28 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two passes defended while playing all but seven of his 421 snaps on defense over the first 12 games of the season, and he slot back into a rotational role Sunday versus New Orleans.

Falcons' Arnold Ebiketie: Ready to return

Ebiketie suffered the injury Week 12 against the Commanders, but after missing Week 13, he's ready to return to the field following the Week 14 bye. He should regain his steady role in the team's linebacker rotation Sunday against the Saints.
