  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Perfect in Week 18 win

Koo went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 3-for-3 on extra points during Sunday's 30-17 win versus the Buccaneers. Koo gave the Falcons a 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter with a 49-yard field goal and added a 24-yard chip shot in the third to cut Tampa Bay's lead to 17-13. The kicker ended the campaign by connecting on a 51-yard attempt that extended Atlanta's lead to 30-17 late in the fourth quarter. After a shaky start to the campaign, Koo turned it around and made 16 of his final 17 FG attempts, with his lone miss coming from beyond 50 yards. He also made all 11 of his PATs during that seven-game stretch. Koo signed a five-year extension in March of 2022 and has more than solidified himself as a consistent and effective kicker over his four seasons in Atlanta.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Game-winning kick in Week 17

Koo made both field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries during Sunday's 20-19 win over Arizona. Koo connected on a 27-yard attempt early in the fourth quarter to give Atlanta a 17-16 lead and ended Week 17 with a game-winning, 21-yard field goal as time expired to secure a 20-19 win. Across 16 appearances, the fifth-year kicker has made 29 of 34 field-goal attempts, with four of his five misses coming from beyond 50 yards.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Kicker to Start

Koo made three field goals at Baltimore in Week 16, but he's scored double digits in Fantasy points just twice since Week 8. But both of those were in his past two home games in Week 11 against Chicago when he scored 11 Fantasy points and Week 13 against Pittsburgh with 14 points, and he's back in Atlanta this week. He should do well again in Week 17 against the Cardinals, who are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing kickers. Two of the past three kickers against Arizona have scored multiple field goals, including Ryan Succop in Week 16 when he was 4-for-4 and 1-for-1 on PATs.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Perfect in loss

Koo converted all three of his field-goal attempts during Saturday's 17-9 loss to the Ravens. Koo put the Falcons on the board with a 32-yard field goal to end the first half, cutting Baltimore's lead to 14-3. He added a 34-yard field goal in the third quarter and a 37-yarder in the fourth, marking the fifth time that he's made at least three field goals in a game this season. Koo clearly benefitted Saturday from Desmond Ridder's struggles in the red zone, but the kicker's overall potential moving forward has to be limited given the Falcons have failed to score 20 or more points in six of their last seven matchups.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Quiet outing in loss

Koo connected on his lone field-goal attempt and only point-after try during Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Saints. Koo opened the scoring for the Falcons with a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter. He added an extra point following Tyler Allgeier's five-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, but Koo stayed on the sidelines after Cordarrelle Patterson's score in the fourth, as Atlanta opted to go for a two-point conversion to cut New Orleans' lead to three. Across 14 appearances, Koo is 24 of 29 on field-goal attempts, with four of his misses coming from beyond 50 yards.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Kicker to Start

Koo had a huge game against the Saints in Week 1 with 4-of-5 made field goals, including two from 50-plus yards, and two PATs. In his past five games with the Saints he has made 14-of-15 field goals and 8-of-8 PATs. And in his past three trips to New Orleans he has scored at least nine Fantasy points in each outing. Four of the past five opposing kickers against the Saints have also made multiple field goals.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Nails two long field goals in loss

Koo connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and made his lone point-after try during Sunday's 19-16 loss to Pittsburgh. Koo put the Falcons on the board with a 50-yard field goal in the second quarter and added a 51-yard make on the Falcons' next offensive drive. He also connected on a 28-yard chip shot to cut Atlanta's lead to 19-16 in the fourth quarter. Coming into the contest, Koo was just 4-for-8 on field-goal attempts from beyond 50 yards, so connecting on two of them in one game is certainly a major confidence boost for the fifth-year kicker.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Misses another 50-plus yarder

Koo converted two of three field-goal attempts and his only extra-point try during Sunday's 19-13 loss to Washington. Koo opened the scoring with a 47-yard field goal to cap off Atlanta's opening offensive drive. He added his lone extra point before missing a 58-yard attempt at the end of the first half. However, the fifth-year kicker bounced back by connecting on a 48-yarder in the third quarter. Koo's missed a career-high five field goals this season, but four of those have come from beyond 50 yards.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Gives ATL late lead

Koo made both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his point-after tries during Sunday's 27-24 win over the Bears. Koo tied the game at 17 with a 40-yard field goal as time expired in the first half and gave Atlanta a 27-24 lead with a 53-yard boot with under two minutes left to go in regulation. It was certainly a bounce-back performance for the 28-year-old after he missed his first two extra-point tries of the season during last Thursday's loss to the Panthers. Koo is 18 for 22 on field-goal tries this season, but all four of his misses have come from beyond 40 yards, including three misfires from at least 50 yards.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Misses both PAT tries Thursday

Koo made his only field-goal attempt but missed both of his extra-point tries during Thursday's 25-15 loss to the Panthers. It wasn't a night to remember by any means for Koo, who missed both of his extra-point attempts during Thursday's contest in Carolina. However, the 28-year-old kicker knocked down his lone field-goal try from 33 yards out, just four days after he failed to sink a 50-yarder. Since the Falcons played Thursday, Koo now gets some extra time off to prepare for the team's Week 11 matchup versus Chicago.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Misses 50-yard attempt in loss

Koo converted one of two field-goal attempts and both of his point-after tries during Sunday's 20-17 loss against the Chargers. Koo gave the Falcons a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter with a 29-yard field goal and went on to make both of his extra-point tries before missing a 50-yard attempt wide right at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Through nine games, the kicker has missed just three kicks, all three of which were beyond 40 yards -- including two from 50-plus. Koo remains one of the more consistent kickers in the league, but his overall fantasy production has been limited by Atlanta's offense, which has scored fewer than 20 points in three of the past five weeks.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Perfect in win

Koo connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 37-34 overtime victory over Carolina. Koo gave the Falcons a 24-21 lead with a 30-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and extended Atlanta's lead to 34-28 with a 34-yard try with 36 seconds left in regulation. After a heroic late touchdown grab by the Panthers' DJ Moore, the game went into overtime, and Koo eventually nailed a game-winning 41-yarder after Panthers kicker Eddy Pineiro missed a 32-yard attempt on the previous drive. Koo has yet to miss an extra point this season, and two of his three field-goal misses have come from beyond 50 yards. The fifth-year pro continues to be one of the more reliable kickers in the league and has benefitted from Atlanta's surprisingly efficient offense in 2022.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Misses 52-yard field goal in loss

Koo missed his only field-goal attempt and made his only extra-point try during Sunday's 21-15 defeat versus Tampa Bay. The Falcons offense faltered against Tampa Bay, which hindered Koo's overall potential, but the kicker didn't do himself any favors by missing a 52-yarder near the end of the first half. Both of Koo's misses this season have come from beyond 50-plus yards, so fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried about his accuracy. However, it is concerning to see Atlanta struggle to move the ball after being extremely efficient through the first four weeks of the season. The Falcons face another strong defense (49ers) in Week 6, but Kyle Pitts (hamstring) potentially returning from a one-game absence could get Atlanta back on track, which would bode well for Koo's production moving forward.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Perfect in win

Koo converted both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his point-after tries during Sunday's 27-23 win against the Seahawks. Koo tied the game at 10 with a 41-yard field goal at the end of the first quarter and tied the game again at 20 with a 54-yard boot in the third quarter, saving a potential disastrous possession after Marcus Mariota was strip-sacked on a manageable third-down play. The Falcons offense has scored at least 25 points in each game this season and have proven capable of moving the ball efficiently, which bodes well for Koo's overall fantasy potential moving forward.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Modest results in Week 2

Koo made one of two field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Rams. After the Falcons moved the ball down the field on their opening drive, Koo lost the momentum by missing a 44-yard field goal wide left. He bounced back in the second by connecting on a 26-yard chip shot and made both of his extra-point tries in the second half, but his overall production was disappointing for fantasy mangers after his huge performance in Week 1. Regardless, Koo figures to be a solid option moving forward, as Atlanta's offense appears to be better than initially anticipated.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Shines in season opener

Koo made four of five field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 27-26 loss to New Orleans. Koo opened the scoring with a 54-yard field goal on the Falcons' first offensive drive of the season. He made another 50-yarder with under three minutes left in the second quarter and added a 40-yarder as time expired in the first half. Koo tacked on a 27-yard chip shot to start the fourth quarter, but his performance ended on a sour note when his potential game-winning 63-yard attempt was blocked to end the contest. Regardless, Koo's season opener was stellar from a fantasy perspective, and he figures to get plenty of opportunities in Atlanta's offense, which moved the ball with ease but failed to convert in the red zone.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Sit 'Em

We'll see how successful the Falcons offense will be this week against the Saints, but I'm not optimistic. That could leave Koo with minimal scoring chances. Now, he did convert both field goal attempts against New Orleans in Week 18 at home last year, including a field goal from 54 yards, and he made both PATs. But I'm not expecting him to have that much success again in Week 1, even at home.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Staying in Atlanta

The Falcons and Koo agreed to terms on a five-year, $24.25 million contract Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. After a rough start to his career with the Chargers in 2017 -- he made just three of six field-goal attempts and was cut after four games -- Koo was out of the NFL until the Falcons brought him on October 2019. Since then, he's been a modicum of consistency, striking true on 87 of 94 field-goal attempts and 78 of 82 point-after tries in 40 games. Instead of becoming a restricted free agent, Koo will stick in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Another perfect outing

Koo connected on both of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 20-16 win over the Lions. Koo capped off a seven-play, 43-yard drive with a 53-yard field goal that tied the game at 10 with just over a minute left in the first half. It was Koo's first 50-plus yard make since Week 8, and he's now 3-for-4 on the season from 50 yards and beyond. Koo also connected on a 48-yard attempt to give the Falcons a 13-10 lead after their first drive of the second half. Koo continues to be one of the most reliable and accurate kickers in the league. However, his fantasy production remains reliant on Atlanta's sporadic offense, which has a tough matchup against the Bills in Week 17.

  • Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Doesn't miss in loss

Koo made both of his field-goal attempts and connected on his only extra-point during Sunday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers. Koo opened the scoring with a 48-yard field goal on the Falcons' second offensive drive of the game. In the third quarter, Atlanta's nine-play, 71-yard drive culminated in a 22-yard attempt for Koo that cut the 49ers lead to 24-13. From inside of 50 yards this season, Koo is 46-for-47 (21-22 FGs, 25-25 PATs). The fourth-year pro remains one of the most reliable and efficient kickers in the league, but Atlanta's sporadic offense continues to diminish his fantasy potential.
