  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Ten catches in wild-card loss

Godwin secured 10 of 13 targets for 85 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-14 wild-card loss to the Cowboys on Monday night. Godwin paced the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, a fitting encore to a regular season in which he racked up a career-high 104 catches, along with 1,023 yards and three touchdowns, over 15 games. Godwin did average a career-low 9.8 yards per grab however, and he was once again consistently used in short areas Monday night. The veteran wideout figures to remain a key component of Tampa Bay's air attack in 2023, but the big question will be who he'll be catching passes from considering Tom Brady may not be back.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Paces pass catchers in loss

Godwin brought in six of seven targets for 55 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-17 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Godwin paced the Buccaneers in receptions and receiving yards while checking in second in targets on a day when the starters played for only a portion of the first half. That allotment of playing time was enough for Godwin to post another solid performance, with Mike Evans' early exit due to an illness also helping his case for more targets. Godwin will head into next weekend's wild-card home playoff matchup having posted at least six grabs in all but two of 14 regular-season contests.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Nine catches in Week 17 win

Godwin secured all nine targets for 120 yards and recorded a two-point conversion catch in the Buccaneers' 30-24 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Were it not for the exploits of position mate Mike Evans, Godwin's performance would have been the talk of the afternoon for the Buccaneers. The trusted target checked in second across the stat sheet to Evans, and his two-point grab after Evans' third touchdown reception gave Tampa Bay a key three-point lead at the time. Godwin has at least eight catches in five of the last six games, while his yardage total was his highest of the season and leaves him just 32 yards short of the third 1,000-yard campaign of his career going into a Week 18 road matchup against the Falcons.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Racks up catches in OT win

Godwin secured eight of 10 targets for 63 yards in the Buccaneers' 19-16 overtime win over the Cardinals on Sunday night. Godwin led Buccaneers wideouts in receptions and checked in third overall in receiving yards while tying Leonard Fournette for the team lead in targets. The sixth-year wideout has now logged double-digit looks in the passing game in three of the past five contests and has at least eight receptions in four of those games, making him a highly valuable PPR asset going into a Week 17 divisional clash against the Panthers that could decide the NFC South crown.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Makes most of eight targets

Godwin corralled all eight of his targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-23 loss to the Bengals. Godwin was able to convert all of his targets into receptions for the third time this year, boosting his season catch rate to a solid 70 percent in the process. It was just the 26-year-old's third touchdown of 2022, as the Bucs have struggled as a unit in the red zone. Godwin will look to build off this strong performance with a plus matchup looming against the Cardinals on Sunday.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Five catches against Niners

Godwin caught five of nine targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 35-7 loss to the 49ers. On a rough day for the Tampa Bay offense, Godwin led the team in receiving yards, although most of it came on a 32-yard grab late in the second quarter. It's his fourth straight game with at least 50 yards, eighth straight with at least eight targets and 10th straight with at least five catches, giving him a reliable floor heading into a Week 15 clash with the Bengals.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Paces pass catchers in win

Godwin brought in eight of 13 targets for 63 yards in the Buccaneers' 17-16 win over the Saints on Monday night. Godwin paced the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, serving as the workhorse of the pass-catching crew yet again. The veteran wideout recorded his final three catches on Tampa Bay's last two drives, and he actually had a five-yard touchdown grab with 19 seconds remaining erased by a holding call on Donovan Smith. Godwin now has six double-digit target tallies in the last seven games, and he should be in line for another very busy afternoon against a talented but beatable 49ers secondary in a Week 14 road matchup.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Monster volume day in loss

Godwin secured 12 of 13 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 23-17 overtime loss to the Browns on Sunday. Godwin comfortably paced the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets while also securing the only touchdown among the team's wideouts. Godwin's score came from 10 yards out in the first quarter, his second trip to the end zone in as many games after not recording any in the first seven contests of the campaign. Godwin has no fewer than six receptions in any game since Week 1, giving him a very safe fantasy floor ahead of a Week 13 Monday night divisional clash against the Saints.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Start 'Em

Godwin finally scored in Week 10 against Seattle, and hopefully that will start a streak of him continuing to find the end zone. He has at least eight targets and six catches in five games in a row, and he has at least 71 receiving yards in three games over that span. He should have a floor of 13 PPR points on a weekly basis, and his ceiling should continue to rise with Tampa Bay coming off a bye in Week 11. The Browns have allowed six receivers to score at least 12 PPR points in their past five games, which should bode well for Godwin and Mike Evans in this matchup on the road.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: First touchdown of season

Godwin recorded six receptions on eight targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-16 win over the Seahawks. Godwin managed at least six receptions for the seventh consecutive game, though he showcased some more big-play ability. He caught what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown from four yards away early in the fourth quarter -- also his first of the season. In addition to the score, Godwin accounted for three of the Buccaneers' 10 longest plays from scrimmage, highlighted by gains of 19, 18 and 13 yards. With the performance, he's also topped 70 receiving yards in three of his last five games.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: WRs to Start

Godwin has yet to score a touchdown this season, and he just had his worst game in his past six outings in Week 9 against the Rams with seven catches for 36 yards on 10 targets. But this will be his breakout game against Seattle this week in Germany. He has four games in a row with at least 10 targets and six catches, and that volume should help him against the Seahawks. They have faced 12 receivers who have caught at least four passes against them, and all of them have scored at least 11 PPR points. Eight receivers had at least five catches against Seattle and five of them scored at least 14 PPR points. With Tom Brady as the Start of the Week, look for him to again lean heavily on Godwin and Mike Evans in this matchup, and both should be excellent against the Seahawks.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Flex Starter (Lineup Decisions)

If you're cool with Godwin hitting 14 PPR points as Rondale Moore did against Seattle last week, start him. Hey, that's flex territory after all. But no one should expect a breakout game given how ineffective Godwin's been, especially near the end zone. I'd rather start DeVonta Smith, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Rondale Moore.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Contrarian DFS Play

Unless you think Tom Brady is completely washed, I'm going to bet on two things: 1. Godwin should only get more comfortable post-ACL as the season progresses. 2. At some point the touchdown rate must regress. Hopefully after this week we get to make jokes about how Chris Godwin still doesn't have any touchdowns on this side of the pond.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Seven grabs in Sunday's win

Godwin caught seven of 10 targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Rams. The sixth-year wideout has seen double-digit targets in four straight games and five of the last six, but despite that volume he has yet to reach 100 receiving yards in a game or score a TD. Godwin could be due to break out in a Week 10 clash with the Seahawks in Germany.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Top DFS Play

Godwin's lack of touchdowns make him both a great buy low and a cheaper DFS play than he should be. He's averaging double-digit targets per game since he returned in Week 4, which should make him a borderline top-five wide receiver. I'm going to play him every week in DFS until that touchdown regression hits.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Another busy game Thursday

Godwin secured six of 11 targets for 75 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-22 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night. Godwin shared the lead in receptions and targets with Mike Evans, and he also had the second-longest catch of the night on a 44-yard grab that was just behind his teammate's 51-yard catch. The wideout has no fewer than six catches in five consecutive games, giving him a solid fantasy floor heading into a Week 9 road matchup versus the Rams a week from Sunday.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Seven grabs in Week 7 loss

Godwin brought in seven of 13 targets for 43 yards and rushed once for two yards in the Buccaneers' 21-3 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Godwin was second on the afternoon in receptions and targets for the Buccaneers but mostly limited to a short-area role, leading to his second-lowest yardage tally of the season. The veteran has compiled at least six grabs in four straight games, but he'll head into a Week 8 home showdown against the Ravens on Thursday night still searching for his 100-yard game of the season.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Season-high yardage total in loss

Godwin secured six of 12 targets for 95 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-18 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. He also recovered a fumble. Godwin co-led the Bucs in receptions while pacing the team in both receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, with the latter pair of tallies also qualifying as season highs. The veteran wideout has been very busy over the last three games after a quiet opener and a pair of absences in Weeks 2 and 3, posting a 19-215 line in that span. However, Godwin is still looking for both his first 100-yard game and touchdown, goals he'll look to accomplish in a Week 7 NFC South road battle against the Panthers.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: WRs to Start

Godwin posted modest stat lines in the past two games after being out for two outings with a hamstring injury. He had 12 PPR points in each contest against Kansas City and Atlanta, and he's due for a big game, which could happen this week against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has already allowed nine receivers to score at least 13 PPR points this year, with seven of them scoring 18 or more PPR points. This should be a smash week for Godwin and Mike Evans against this secondary.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Cleared for Sunday

Godwin (hip/knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh. Godwin progressed from non-participation Wednesday to limited activity Thursday to full participation Friday. It's worth noting that his playing time was scaled way back last week after the Buccaneers jumped out to a 21-0 lead over the Falcons, with Scotty Miller getting more playing time than Godwin after halftime. A full workload is possible now that Godwin is further removed from both last year's ACL tear and his more recent hamstring injury, but there's also some change he's scaled back again, especially if the Buccaneers jump out to a big lead against the Steelers, who are heavy home underdogs. Godwin, Mike Evans and Russell Gage will be the top three wide receivers this week, while Julio Jones (knee) is listed as doubtful after missing three straight practice.
