  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Ruled out for season finale

Farley (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. This officially ends Farley's 2023. He didn't play in a single game this season and has played in just 14 of 51 games since being drafted 22nd overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Farley will look to get his career on track next season after battling a herniated disk.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Not expected to play this season

Farley (back) is back at practice, but he won't play this season, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. The cornerback has missed the entire season to this point, and he'll now set his sights on preparing for 2024.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Lands on PUP list

Farley (back) will begin training camp on the Titans' active/PUP list, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Farley's 2022 campaign came to a close in Week 10 when he underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back. He's made progress in the offseason but was held out of OTAs and minicamp while rehabbing. The 2021 first-round pick out of Virginia Tech has played in just 12 games in his two-year career.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Heads to IR

Farley (back) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Farley suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Broncos and is expected to undergo season-ending surgery, for what is believed to be a herniated disc. The absence of the 2021 first-round selection will certainly be blow to the Titans' depth in their secondary, as Kristian Fulton (hamstring), Elijah Molden (groin) and Roger McCreary (calf) are all currently dealing with injuries and are questionable for Thursday's game against the Packers.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: May have season-ending injury

Farley will likely undergo season-ending surgery after suffering what appears to be a herniated disc during Sunday's 17-10 win over the Broncos, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Farley was expected to undergo further testing after injuring his back on a punt return during the third quarter Sunday, and these results appear to have revealed the worst-case scenario for the 2021 first-round pick. The cornerback previously underwent a microdiscectomy for an injured L5 disc and bulged S1 disc in his back ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, though it's unclear if this new injury is related to these prior issues. While Farley has not logged a defensive snap since Week 5 against Washington, his absence could leave Tennessee's secondary with a severe lack of depth after cornerbacks Kristian Fulton (hamstring) and Elijah Molden (groin) were both forced out with injuries Sunday.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Practices without knee brace

Farley (knee) began Wednesday's practice with a knee brace but ultimately participated without it, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Farley suffered a torn ACL in mid-October and was unable to participate in any offseason activities as a result. However, his ability to practice to start training camp is big news for a Titans defense that will be relying upon several talented -- but young -- outside corners.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Shifts to COVID list

Farley (knee) was transferred to the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday after testing positive for the virus, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Farley has been on injured reserve since tearing his ACL in mid-October, and he'll now move to the COVID list. The 23-year-old will remain there until he clears the health and safety protocols, then he'll revert back to injured reserve for the rest of the season.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Out Week 4

Farley (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Jets. Farley will miss his third consecutive game Sunday as he's still dealing with a shoulder injury that he picked up ahead of Week 2. The cornerback has spent most of his time with the Titans injured, so he may need some time to get back to speed once he's fully healthy again. Farley's next chance to play will be Week 5 against the Jaguars.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Ruled out again

The Titans listed Farley (shoulder) as out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Farley played 18 snaps while making his NFL debut during Week 1, but he picked up a shoulder injury ahead of Week 2 and has been sidelined since. The 2021 No. 22 overall pick was inactive for most of training camp and preseason action after undergoing surgery to address a herniated disk in his back, so even when he is healthy, it's unlikely that he will be up to NFL speed immediately.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Out Sunday

Farley (shoulder) has been ruled out for the Titans' Week 2 matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Farley managed to log eight snaps on defense and 10 on special teams in Sunday's season opener after he was limited at the beginning of training camp while recovering from a back injury. The cornerback will miss a difficult matchup for the Colts' secondary against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Placed on non-football injury list

Farley (back) was placed on the non-football injury list Sunday. Farley has made good progress in his recovery after he went surgery to repair a herniated lumbar disc in late March, but he'll officially be unavailable for the start of camp. However, the 2021 first-rounder could be ready to play at some point during training camp, and he could compete for a starting job to begin the season.

  • Titans' Caleb Farley: Goes to Tennessee in first round

The Titans selected Farley (back) in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 22nd overall. Farley (6-foot-2, 197) is a huge corner out of Virginia Tech with top-shelf athleticism, and he might have been the first cornerback off the board if not for the durability concerns swirling around his back injury. Although he's definitely expected to be ready for Week 1 and generally is expected to be ready for training camp, Farley has undergone two back surgeries to address a recurring issue originally suffered from a weightlifting injury in August 2019, which understandably scared off some teams from his otherwise compelling talents. Assuming he can play right away, he'll provide Tennessee with a cornerback upgrade it desperately needed.
