Jake Fromm: Back with Detroit
Fromm signed with the Lions' practice squad Wednesday.
Fromm failed to make Detroit's initial 53-man roster Tuesday, but he's now been brought back as a practice-squad player. The Georgia product last saw regular-season action in 2021 with the Giants, when he threw for 210 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions across three games.

Jake Fromm: Let go on cut-down day
Detroit waived Fromm on Tuesday.
Fromm was a fifth-round draft pick by Buffalo in 2020 and got into three regular-season games with the Giants in 2021. He hasn't logged an NFL snap since then, however, and spent most of the previous two campaigns on Washington's practice squad. Fromm never had much of a chance of landing on Detroit's 53-man roster and played sparingly in the preseason, though he did well by completing six of eight pass attempts for 89 yards.
