Lorenzo Burns: Remains in Cleveland
Burns (shoulder) signed with the Browns' practice squad Wednesday.
Burns suffered a shoulder injury during Cleveland's preseason game against the Eagles, but it seems that he's since moved past the issue. The 25-year-old went undrafted out of Arizona in 2021 before linking up with the Jaguars and spending his rookie season on the team's practice squad. Burns was without a team last year, but he's now agreed to join the Browns' practice squad ahead of the coming season.

Burns (shoulder) is day-to-day due to an injury suffered in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Burns suffered the shoulder injury on a kickoff return. The veteran cornerback is competing for a shot to finally make his NFL debut in Cleveland. He likely has better odds of sticking with the practice squad than making the 53-man roster.

Burns hurt his shoulder in the first half of Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles and is questionable to return, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Burns was injured during a kickoff return and had to be helped off the field by trainers. There's no word yet on the severity of his injury. Burns has yet to take a snap in an NFL regular-season game and is a long shot to make the Browns' roster this season.
