After missing the 49ers' first five games while recovering from a high-ankle sprain, Robinson returned to practice Wednesday. The 49ers apparently came away encouraged by how Robinson checked out during those three sessions, so he looks as though he could get the chance to make his 2022 debut Sunday in Atlanta. Robinson (groin) is expected to miss the 49ers' practices this week while dealing with a groin injury, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
It's unclear when the 24-year-old sustained this injury, and he's likely a question mark for San Francisco's preseason matchup against the Vikings on Aug. 20. Robinson played exclusively on special teams (37 snaps) over the final three regular-season games for the 49ers in 2021 before re-signing with the team in January.
