Steelers' Nate Herbig: Strikes deal with Pittsburgh
Herbig (calf) and the Steelers agreed to terms Tuesday on a two-year, $8 million contract, The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports.

Jets' Nate Herbig: IR bound
Herbig (calf) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Herbig will miss the final two games of the season with a calf injury. It appeared that he was trending toward a return after logging a pair of limited practices to begin the week, though the Jets opted to take the conservative route to have Herbig sit now that the team has been eliminated from playoff contention. Dan Feeney appears most likely to start at right guard in Herbig's absence.

Jets' Nate Herbig: Missing regular-season finale
Herbig (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Despite being able to partake in both Wednesday's and Thursday's practices on a limited basis, Herbig will ultimately extend his absence streak to two games now that he's already been ruled out this weekend as a result of a calf issue. Since fellow guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (knee) has opened Week 18 prep with back-to-back DNPs, Dan Feeney appears the most suitable candidate to start at right guard versus Miami on Sunday.

Jets' Nate Herbig: Won't play Sunday
Herbig (ankle) is inactive Sunday against the Seahawks.
Herbig was unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday, but he did close out the week with a limited practice Friday. His inability to play will leave the Jets without their starting right guard. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is a candidate to start in his spot against Seattle.

Jets' Nate Herbig: Making return this weekend
Herbig (shin) is in line to play Sunday against the Bears, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Herbig was listed as active for the Jets' Week 11 matchup in New England after dealing with a calf issue leading up to the contest, but New York exercised a cautious approach as he ultimately didn't record any snaps versus the Patriots. However, the 334-pounder logged limited sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday this week, and he'll likely slot back into his usual role as the team's starting right guard this weekend against Chicago.
