Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Wakes up in Week 3
Gallup caught six of seven targets for 92 yards in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Cardinals.
After managing only one reception in each of Dallas' first two games, Gallup broke out and led the team in catches and receiving yards as Arizona largely held CeeDee Lamb in check. It's Gallup's best performance since he put up a 5-106-0 line against the Raiders in Week 12 of the 2021 campaign, before his ACL surgery. He'll look to carry some momentum into Week 4's clash with a Patriots defense that's been stingy through the air so far this season.

Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Quiet in Week 2 win
Gallup caught one of two targets for three yards in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Even with Brandin Cooks (knee) inactive, Gallup wasn't much of a factor in the Cowboys' passing game, and second-year wideout Jalen Tolbert saw more looks from Dak Prescott on the rare occasions the quarterback wasn't throwing the ball to CeeDee Lamb or Tony Pollard. Gallup could be in danger of slipping to the No. 4 spot on the WR depth chart, and his fantasy outlook will be dim in Week 3 as Dallas isn't likely to need much production through the air against the winless Cardinals.

Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Held to one catch in opener
Gallup caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 40-0 rout of the Giants.
The Cowboys' passing game didn't need to do much on a night when the team's special teams and defense each scored TDs in the first quarter, and while Gallup's volume was low, no Dallas wideout had more than four targets. He still appears to be the clear No. 3 WR behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, however, and tight end Jake Ferguson (seven targets Sunday) and running back Tony Pollard (three targets) also will demand their share of Dak Prescott's attention. Gallup will have better days this season, but his weekly floor will be low.

Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Primed for bounce-back season
Gallup is healthy heading into Week 1 and could be ready to put together his best season since 2020, Saad Yousef and Jon Machota of The Athletic report.
The 27-year-old wideout has seen his numbers decline the last two years in the aftermath of a torn ACL, but a healthy Gallup should provide Dak Prescott with a reliable option behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks. Gallup filled a similar role in 2020, with Amari Cooper instead of Cooks as the receiver ahead of him on the depth chart, and turned 105 targets into a 59-843-5 line. Similar production in 2023 seems plausible if he, and Prescott, can stay on the field.
