  • Chiefs' Prince Tega Wanogho: Won't return for Super Bowl

Wanogho (quadriceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl matchup against the 49ers.

Despite a full week of practice, the 26-year-old offensive lineman has been ruled out ahead of Super Bowl LVIII. Wanogho appeared in the Chiefs' first three games before sustaining a season-ending quadriceps injury, playing 14 total snaps (all on special teams).

  • Chiefs' Prince Tega Wanogho: Staying on IR

Wanogho (quadriceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens.

Wanogho will not be activated off IR despite being a full participant in all three sessions this week. If the Chiefs were to win Sunday against the Ravens, he will have an opportunity to suit up for the Super Bowl.

  • Chiefs' Prince Tega Wanogho: Cleared to practice

The Chiefs designated Wanogho (quadricep) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Wanogho has been on IR since September, but he could have a chance at making it back for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens now that he's been cleared to resume practicing. He was a full participant in Wednesday's session and will look to maintain that level of activity over the next two days. If Wanogho is formally reinstated from IR and made active Sunday, he would be in store for a depth role along the Kansas City offensive line.

  • Chiefs' Prince Tega Wanogho: Placed on injured reserve

Tega Wanogho (quadriceps) was placed on IR on Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Tega Wanogho suffered the injury during Sunday's win against Chicago and will now miss the team's next four games at minimum. He'll be eligible to return in Week 8 against the Broncos, although it's not clear if he will need more time than that to recover.

  • Chiefs' Prince Tega Wanogho: Won't return Sunday

Tega Wanogho will not return to Sunday's contest against the Bears after injuring his quad, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

  • Eagles' Prince Tega Wanogho: Likely to have reserve role

Wanogho (knee) is expected to compete for a depth role in training camp, Daniel Gallen of Pennlive.com reports.

Wanogho wasn't able to participate in Auburn's Pro Day back in March while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, a development which likely contributed to him falling to the sixth round in April's draft. He showcased impressive technique and fundamentals as a three-year starter at left tackle at Auburn, despite having to compensate for underwhelming athleticism. Now healthy, the Eagles could see fit to have Wanogho (6-foot-5, 308 pounds) compete at guard rather than tackle in training camp.

  • Eagles' Prince Tega Wanogho: Joins Eagles in sixth round

The Eagles selected Wanogho (knee) in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 210th overall.

Wanogho (6-foot-5, 308 pounds) showed well as a three-year starter at Auburn, making the most of his frame despite possessing below-average athletic ability. His health is something of a question mark, as he missed Auburn's Pro Day in March while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. When recovered, Wanogho may have better success as a guard than as a tackle at the NFL level.
