Taylor Stallworth: Reaches settlement
Stallworth (hamstring) reached an injury settlement with the Texans and is now a free agent, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Wilson suffered a hamstring injury during minicamp and the team opted to put the 27-year-old on IR. However, he is expected to be fully recovered soon and will be free to pursue a new opportunity for the 2023 season once he can prove he is healthy.

Texans' Taylor Stallworth: Lands on IR
Stallworth (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Stallworth will have to miss the 2023 season with his move to IR, unless he can reach an injury settlement with the Texans. According to his agent, as relayed by Aaron Wilson as well, that is what is expected to happen. If it does, Stallworth will be free to sign with any team once he can prove himself healthy.

Texans' Taylor Stallworth: Will stick in Houston
The Texans re-signed Stallworth to a one-year contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
In 2022, Stallworth made one appearance for the Texans, who claimed the undrafted defensive tackle out of South Carolina off waivers in December. Apparently, Houston liked what they saw from the veteran and have opted to retain him for the 2023 campaign. Stallworth was a solid rotational piece for the Saints (2018-2019) and the Colts (2020-2021), but he's never been an IDP asset with career highs of 16 tackles and three sacks in a season.

Texans' Taylor Stallworth: Heads to IR
Houston placed Stallworth (calf) on injured reserve Saturday.
Stallworth had already been ruled out for Week 15 with a calf injury, but he'll now be sidelined for Houston's final four games due to the issue. Across seven appearances (six with Kansas City and one with Houston), the fifth-year defensive tackle totaled eight tackles across 70 defensive snaps during the 2022 campaign.

The Texans claimed Stallworth off waivers from Kansas City on Wednesday, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Stallworth becomes part of the defensive tackle rotation in the Texans' 4-3 alignment, joining Maliek Collins, Roy Lopez, Kurt Hinish and Thomas Booker. Houston released Michael Dwumfour to make room for Stallworth, who logged 53 snaps and four tackles over six games with the Chiefs.

Stallworth signed a one-year contract with Kansas City on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Stallworth appeared in 16 games in each of the last two seasons with the Colts and served mainly as a rotational piece, but he did register a career-high three sacks during the 2021 campaign. The undrafted defensive tackle out of South Carolina figures to provide depth for Kansas City's defensive line in 2022.

Colts' Taylor Stallworth: Leaves Saturday's game early
Stallworth (hamstring) is out for the remainder of Saturday's preseason contest against the Vikings, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Stallworth injured his hamstring at the beginning of training camp and appears to have suffered a setback. The 26-year-old defensive tackle appeared in all 16 games for the Colts last year, mainly serving as a backup. Chris Williams and Joey Ivie will get extended looks if Stallworth is forced to miss time.

Stallworth limped off the field at Saturday's practice and had his hamstring wrapped, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
Stallworth recorded 12 total tackles in 16 games for the Colts last year and re-signed with the team during the offseason. The severity of the injury is unknown, but he'll have a couple weeks to recover before the preseason opener Aug. 15 against Carolina.
