Mixon has averaged over 15 PPR points per game for three straight seasons, but a fourth consecutive one isn't promised. The 27-year-old is coming off an inconsistent campaign where he recorded one game with a season-best 55.1 PPR points, another one with more than 20, and under 13.0 points in seven of his remaining 12 outings. His role could also change -- third-down back Samaje Perine has moved on to Denver -- but the Bengals added rookie Chase Brown and kept backup speedster Trayveon Williams with pass-downs specialist Chris Evans still on the roster. And naturally, the offense gravitated toward Joe Burrow running the show, leaving Mixon with 15.0 carries per game, a five-year low. Assuming an off-field incident doesn't result in some sort of punishment, Mixon has redeemable value as a lead RB in a strong offense. He just might frustrate you from week to week. That's why Mixon will end up going off the board as a starter with a pick between 30th and 40th overall.

Mixon saw rookie backfield mate Chase Brown increase his role with 11 touches in his own right, one of which resulted in an impressive 54-yard catch-and-run touchdown in the first quarter. Brown certainly passes the eyeball test as the more explosive of the two players, but Mixon continued to be trusted with the bulk of the rushing work and played a key role through the air himself. The veteran rounded out his productive afternoon with a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and he appears to have a clear grasp on the lead role going into a Week 15 home matchup against the Vikings on Saturday afternoon.

After a down game in Week 12 against Pittsburgh in the first game without Joe Burrow (wrist), Mixon rebounded nicely in Week 13 at Jacksonville with 19 carries for 68 yards and two touchdowns and six catches for 49 yards on seven targets. His role in the passing game is important here because every time he's had at least four catches, which has happened five times this season, he's scored at least 13.4 PPR points. I expect Jake Browning to continue to lean on Mixon out of the backfield based on the game plan against Jacksonville, and that should allow Mixon to remain a No. 2 Fantasy running back in all leagues. The Colts get run-stuffer Grover Stewart this week from his six-game suspension, but Mixon's work in the passing game should help him be successful for Fantasy managers this week.

Mixon was found not guilty of aggravated menacing in a Hamilton County (Ohio) court ruling Thursday, Ben Baby of ESPN reports.
Per the report, municipal judge Gwen Bender indicated that city prosecutors failed to present enough evidence to prove the aggravated menacing charge stemming from an alleged road rage incident that took place on Jan. 21. In a statement released by the team Thursday, the Bengals noted "the organization is pleased that this matter is now behind everyone...and we look forward to an exciting season with Joe being an important part of the football team." As the coming season approaches, Mixon is slated to lead a Cincinnati backfield that also includes Trayveon Williams (ankle), Chase Brown and Chris Evans.
