Chiefs' John Ross: Singed to reserve deal by KC
The Chiefs signed Ross to a reserve/future contract Monday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Ross landed this deal with Kansas City shortly after coming in for a tryout with the team Monday, according to Field Yates of ESPN. The 2017 first-round pick did not appear in a game during the 2022 regular season, as he went unsigned for the duration of this campaign. While the Chiefs are set to play during the divisional round of the playoffs, this deal for Ross will not go into effect until the team's roster size increases beyond the 53-man limit this offseason. Ross last appeared in 10 games for the Giants in 2021, recording 11 receptions (on 20 targets) for 224 yards and a touchdown, and the speedster should compete for a role as a vertical threat heading into the 2023 campaign.

John Ross: Tries out for Cardinals
The Cardinals worked out Ross on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Ross missed the final four games in 2021 with a knee injury, but his Tuesday workout for Arizona suggests he's moved past the issue. With Marquise Brown set to miss an extended period of time with a foot injury, the Cardinals could look to sign Ross for added speed in addition to the newly acquired Robbie Anderson.

Giants' John Ross: Nabs 11 receptions
Ross (knee) caught 11 passes on 20 targets for 224 yards and a touchdown in 2021.
Ross hasn't been able to stay healthy since he was drafted ninth overall in 2017, but his 4.22 speed should keep him in the league awhile longer, whether in New York or elsewhere.

Giants' John Ross: Won't play Sunday
Ross (knee) has been ruled out Sunday against Washington, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Ross hasn't played since Week 14 and didn't practice in either of the Giants' first two practices of Week 18, so it's not a surprise to see him ruled out for the final week of the regular season. He'll end his 2021 campaign with 11 catches (20 targets) for 224 yards and one touchdown across 10 appearances.

Giants' John Ross: Absent for another practice
Ross (knee) wasn't on the field for Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Ross hasn't played since Week 14, and given that he hasn't participated in either of the Giants' first two practices of Week 18, he'll most likely remain sidelined for a fourth straight game Sunday against Washington. Kadarius Toney (shoulder) also appears unlikely to play after missing another practice Thursday, likely leaving Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton (shoulder), David Sills and Pharoh Cooper as the Giants' available options at receiver for the season finale.

Giants' John Ross: Estimated as non-participant
Ross (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Ross has missed the last three games due to a combination of a positive COVID-19 test result and a knee injury. He's still nursing the knee issue ahead of Week 18, and he'll likely need to practice in some form Thursday or Friday if he hopes to play Sunday against Washington.
