Peat suffered a quadriceps injury during practice Monday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Peat did have to leave practice early, although the severity of the injury is still not known. Saints' Andrus Peat: Back working with starters
Peat (ankle) was spotted working with the starting offensive line at the Saints' minicamp practice Tuesday, Sean Fazende of Fox 8 New Orleans reports. Peat missed the final two games of the 2022 NFL season with an ankle injury suffered Week 16, but he has since moved past the issue. The three-time Pro Bowler has started 90 games over the past eight years and should provide a major boost to the Saints' ground game in 2023 if he's able to enjoy improved health compared to a year ago.... Jeff Duncan@JeffDuncan_2H agoSaints QB Derek Carr said he had not heard about James Hurst’s retirement but said the veteran offensive linemen had told him he was contemplating the move. Carr said Hurst will be missed as a player, teammate and leader in the locker room. “He’s such a great guy,” Carr said.
