Brockers spent the first nine years of his career with the Rams before being traded to the Lions in 2021. The 33-year-old was then released by Detroit after playing just six games in the 2022 campaign, and he didn't sign with a new team at any point in 2023. The No.14 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Brockers finishes with 451 tackles and 29 sacks across 160 career games.

Averett was brought in for a tryout during the Steelers' rookie minicamp this past weekend. He last played for the Raiders in 2022, logging 13 tackles and one pass defended over seven appearances. The 29-year-old joined the 49ers last August, but he was released from IR with an injury settlement just two weeks later. Averett joined up with Detroit's practice squad Oct. 10 and never appeared in any games during the 2023 campaign. Peko finished last season on injured reserve for the Titans after competing in 13 games and recording 22 combined tackles.
