  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Lands on IR

The Titans have placed Tannehill (ankle) on IR, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill thus is officially ruled out for the remainder of the regular season and won't be available to the Titans unless the team makes a deep playoff run. In his absence, Malik Willis and Joshua Dobbs -- who is expected to start Thursday night's game against the Cowboys -- will handle the team's QB duties in the coming weeks.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Done for regular season

Tannehill won't be available for the Titans' final three regular-season games and is considered "unlikely" to return for the postseason after undergoing a tightrope procedure earlier this week to address a right high-ankle sprain, a league source tells Adam Schefter of ESPN. Late Friday, Schefter relayed that Tannehill was in line to miss at least the next two games and was viewed as a "long shot" to make it back for the Titans' Week 18 game against the Jaguars, essentially matching what Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. However, Schefter's latest update indicates that the Titans are already discounting the possibility of Tannehill making it back before the end of the regular season, and the quarterback's chances of suiting up in the postseason appear to be remote at this stage. For its part, Tennessee has officially ruled Tannehill out only for Saturday's game against the Texans, and until he's moved to injured reserve, the team will likely continue to update the veteran signal-caller's status on a week-by-week basis. Rookie Malik Willis will start Week 16 and likely for the rest of Tennessee's schedule, barring Tannehill making a speedier recovery than anticipated.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Officially out for Week 16

The Titans have ruled Tannehill (ankle) out for Saturday's game against the Texans, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Though the right ankle injury Tannehill sustained in the Titans' Week 15 loss to the Chargers cost him only one offensive series before he was able to return, the veteran signal-caller wasn't able to practice in any fashion Tuesday through Thursday before Tennessee opted to rule him out for the third time this season. Malik Willis will step in as the Titans' starting signal-caller this weekend, and quite possibly the rest of the way, as Davenport reported Wednesday that Tannehill is likely to require season-ending surgery on the ankle. For now, the Titans are ruling Tannehill out only for one game, but an eventual move to injured reserve would signal that the Tennessee isn't counting on the 34-year-old playing again in 2022.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Could be lost for season

Tannehill (ankle), who didn't practice Wednesday, could be done for the season, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports. The Titans haven't yet determined if the veteran quarterback will require surgery to address the ankle injury he sustained in the Titans' Week 15 loss to the Chargers. If surgery is ultimately required, Tannehill would likely be officially shut down for the season, paving the way for rookie Malik Willis to start the final three games of the campaign and any postseason contests that follow. Tannehill hasn't officially been ruled out for this Saturday's game against the Texans, but all signs point to Willis starting that contest, at a minimum.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Misses practice Wednesday

Tannehill (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill, who was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday's walk-through session, has one more chance to log practice reps ahead of Saturday's game against the Texans. At this stage of the week, however, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggests that there's doubt the veteran quarterback will be able to play this weekend. If Tannehill ends up sidelined versus Houston, Malik Willis would be in line to make his third career start.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Listed as DNP on estimate

Tannehill (ankle) was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday's walkthrough, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill picked up yet another ankle issue this past Sunday at the Chargers, but he was able to return, finishing with 165 yards, no touchdowns and one interception on 68 percent passing and three carries for one yard and a score during a 17-14 loss. On Monday, coach Mike Vrabel indicated Tannehill will remain the Titans' starting signal-caller Saturday against the Texans if his health allows him to, per Wyatt. Kicking off the week with a DNP isn't exactly a great sign that Tannehill is in line to do so, but he at least has a pair of sessions remaining to put himself back on a path to active status. If Tannehill ends up sidelined this weekend, though, rookie Malik Willis again would step in for the veteran quarterback.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Could miss time due to ankle

Coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that Tannehill (ankle) will remain the starter Saturday against the Texans if he's healthy enough to play, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill left the Week 15 loss to the Chargers with an ankle injury but later returned. Vrabel's comment suggests there's some doubt over whether Tannehill -- who has battled numerous ankle injuries this season -- can play through the latest issue without missing some game action, so the quarterback's status will be worth monitoring in practice over the coming days. If Tannehill needs additional time to heal, rookie Malik Willis would step in against Houston, whom Willis defeated as the starter Week 8 thanks to 219 rushing yards from Derrick Henry.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Scores on ground Sunday

Tannehill completed 15 of 22 passes for 165 yards with an interception and added a touchdown and one rushing yard on three carries in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Chargers. His weak passing numbers were due in part to leaving the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury, but Tannehill returned before halftime and appeared to have forced overtime by scoring on a goal-line QB sneak with 48 seconds left in the fourth. Unfortunately for the Titans, their defense couldn't stop Justin Herbert from answering. With Tennessee's lead in the AFC South slipping away, Tannehill will look to post better numbers in Week 16 and avoid an upset against the Texans, something he'll be more likely to accomplish if Treylon Burks (concussion) can get healthy.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Returns to game

Tannehill returned to Sunday's against the Chargers after sustaining an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tannehill was carted off the field after suffering an ankle injury on the Titans' first possession, but he was subsequently able to return to the contest in the second quarter. While he was sidelined, Malik Willis handled the team's QB reps.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Carted off the field Sunday

Tannehill was carted off the field Sunday against the Chargers after sustaining an ankle injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Prior to his exit from the contest, Tannehill completed his only passing attempt for two yards and ran once for one yard. Next up for the Titans' Week 15 QB reps is Malik Willis.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Sleeper QBs

Tannehill would've been more attractive for this matchup if Treylon Burks (concussion) had not been ruled out. The hope for Tannehill this week is the Chargers take advantage of the Titans' struggling defense and build a lead, forcing Tannehill to throw. That's what happened against Jacksonville in Week 14 when Tannehill had 38 attempts, and he scored 21 Fantasy points. He now has at least 21 Fantasy points in three of his past five games, and Tannehill should be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in all leagues for this week, even with Burks out.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Takes every rep Thursday

Tannehill (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Considering that Tannehill has started each of the past five weeks following a two-game absence due to the ankle injury, the Titans never seemed to have much concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Chargers after he opened Week 15 prep as a limited participant Wednesday. His restrictions a day ago were likely just maintenance-related, and his ability to take every rep Thursday clears the way for him to direct the Tennessee offense this weekend. Since returning to the lineup Week 10, Tannehill has completed 65 percent of his passes for 8.1 yards per attempt and a 7:2 TD:INT while carrying 12 times for 68 yards in five outings.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Managing ankle injury

Tannehill (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Since missing games in Weeks 8 and 9 with the ankle injury, Tannehill has proceeded to start in each of the Titans' last five games. The Titans haven't provided any indication that he experienced a setback with the ankle during this past Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, so he'll most likely be cleared ahead of this weekend's game against the Chargers.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

I don't have a strong preference between Ryan Tannehill, Brock Purdy, or Colt McCoy as my second favorite quarterback this week. Taneehill is a slight favorite, because he's scored at least 21 Fantasy points in three of his past five outings and could be chasing the score against Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Tannehill has only been forced to throw more than 30 times in four games this season, but he has multiple touchdown passes in three of those games.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Week 15 Waiver Priority List

Tannehill scored 21 Fantasy points against Jacksonville in Week 14, and he now has at least 21 points in three of his past five games. We hope he gets Treylon Burks (concussion) back for Week 15 at the Chargers, which would enhance Tannehill's value. The concern for this matchup at Los Angeles is Derrick Henry dominating on the ground, but if the Chargers build a lead then we could see Tannehill throwing a lot, much like he did against Jacksonville with 38 attempts. I like Tannehill as a high-end No. 2 quarterback in all leagues, and he's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Tosses pair of touchdowns

Tannehill completed 25 of 38 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Jaguars. He added two rushes for 16 yards. Tannehill attempted a season-high 38 passes as the Titans were playing at a two-score deficit for much of the second half. He averaged only 6.7 yards per attempt and also had two costly turnovers -- he lost a fumble and threw an interception -- which led directly to 10 points for the Jaguars. Tannehill redeemed his fantasy performance with a pair of touchdown throws, which came from 10 and two yards away. He now has at least 250 yards or two scores in four of his five games since returning from an ankle injury.

  • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

My opinion of Tannehill might change depending on what happens with Treylon Burks (concussion), but I like this matchup for Tannehill against the Jaguars, so hopefully he can find a way to deliver, whether Burks plays or not. Jacksonville has allowed four quarterbacks in a row to score at least 22 Fantasy points, and we'll see if Tannehill can keep that string going. He has struggled for the past two games against the Bengals and Eagles, scoring 14 Fantasy points or less in those two outings, but this is a much easier opponent. Tannehill is worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues.

Tannehill won't have Treylon Burks (concussion) in Week 14, but I still like Tannehill as a low-end starter. He has a great matchup against the Jaguars, so hopefully he can find a way to deliver. • Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Puts in full practice

Tannehill (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. After rolling an ankle in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, Tannehill was a limited participant in the Titans' first Week 14 practice session Wednesday. The Titans never expressed much doubt about Tannehill's status heading into this Sunday's game against the Jaguars, however, and the quarterback seemed to put to rest any concern about his health by taking every rep Thursday. While Tannehill looks like he'll be good to go this weekend, he may have to make do without top target Treylon Burks (concussion), who sat out practice for the second day in a row Thursday and looks to be trending toward sitting out Sunday.
