Shortly after disclosing that center Eugene Amano (triceps) will be placed on IR, the Tennessee Titans announced the signing of veteran center/offensive guard Chris Morris on Saturday.

Morris, a five-year veteran, appeared in four games with the Panthers in 2010. Last season, Morris (6-4, 305) spent time with both the Patriots and Lions in training camp but didn't play in the regular season. A seventh-round pick of the Raiders in 2006, Morris spent four seasons in Oakland (2006-09). He appeared in 47 games with Oakland, receiving 11 starts. It was not immediately known if Morris will participate in Monday's joint practice with the Falcons.

Who's here: Rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright ended a four-day holdout earlier in the week when he agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Titans. Wright was the second to last first-round pick from this year's draft to remain unsigned. Fellow rookie wide receiver Devin Aguilar has returned to practice. Aguilar missed several practices early in camp with a hamstring injury.

Who's not: Several notable Titans players were absent Saturday. Tight end Jared Cook and wide receiver Damian Williams were excused to attend former wide receiver O.J. Murdock's funeral. Murdock passed away from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday. Defensive end Dave Ball was excused for undisclosed personal reasons. Wide receiver Kenny Britt (knee) and safety Markelle Martin (knee) remain on PUP. Tight end Brandon Barden has yet to return after suffering a hamstring injury in the opening week of camp. Running back Darius Reynaud (ribs) missed his first day of practice in training camp. Reynaud is day-to-day.
