Long snapper Jon Condo suffered a concussion in the second quarter against San Diego, Raiders coach Dennis Allen said.

“He’ll have to be cleared medically, so I don’t know at what point that would happen, but we’ve obviously got some plans in place in case he’s not ready to play.”

Those contingency plans undoubtedly involve signing a free agent long snapper if Condo is forced to miss Sunday’s game. Backup long snapper Travis Goethel had a nightmare game against San Diego. He bounced one punt and rolled another to Shane Lechler. The Raiders also had a punt blocked.

Allen took the blame for not having Goethel, who hadn’t long-snapped since high school, practice long snaps during full-team drills.

“That falls on me,” Allen said. “I’ve got to do a better job of making sure we’re prepared for all those different situations.”

Starting left cornerback Ron Bartell is scheduled to have an MRI on a shoulder. He was hurt midway through the second quarter and didn’t return.

In another development, the Raiders announced they have signed fullback Marcel Reece to a contract extension.
