The New England Patriots just can’t get enough of Donte' Stallworth.

With the body count getting dangerously thin at wide receiver after Julian Edelman suffered a foot injury Sunday, the Patriots agreed to terms with the veteran Stallworth on Monday evening, a source told CBSSports.com’s Jason La Canfora.

Stallworth was let go by New England during the final round of roster cuts of training camp. The 32-year-old also spent the 2007 season in New England, and he caught 46 passes for 697 yards and three touchdowns. He last saw game action with the Washington Redskins during the 2011 season and caught 37 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns.

The severity of Edelman’s injury isn't yet known, though he was seen leaving Sun Life Stadium on crutches and in a walking boot. Brandon Lloyd, Wes Welker and Matthew Slater are the only other receivers on New England’s active roster.

With Slater serving predominately on special teams, Stallworth's most likely fit will be as the third receiver behind Lloyd and Welker.
