Chip Kelly has announced that Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso (sprained knee) won't play Sunday against the Jets, NJ.com reports.
His inability to practice Wednesday or Thursday was enough for Kelly to make a final call. Consider Alonso week-to-week going forward, but his history with knee injuries will likely spur the Eagles to err on the side of caution.
With Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) also in line to sit out in Week 3, Jordan Hicks would get the nod at inside linebacker next to DeMeco Ryans.
