Offense: C

With the struggles the Cowboys have defensively, the offense had to do more and couldn’t be average. That’s what they were. Tony Romo threw three untimely interceptions, including one in the final three minutes, as the offense had a chance to win the game. The running game was decent and the offensive line held up OK. But injuries to Dez Bryant and Miles Austin were huge, leaving the Cowboys with three backups for Romo in the fourth quarter. Previous game's grade: C

Defense: D

We’re beyond the point of using injruies as an excuse. They’re there for all to see -- and exploit. The Redskins did that even with a banged up Robert Griffin III. Alfred Morris rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns against the depleted defense, which had a handful of players who were signed off the street this season. It showed too often. The defense had a chance to get a key stop in the fourth but a personal foul penalty on Jason Hatcher kept the drive alive, leading to a Redskins' touchdown. Previous game's grade: C

Special Teams: B

Dwayne Harris gave the offense a chance on two occasions to score with big punt returns. He averaged 26 yards on three returns, including a 39-yarder that put the Cowboys back in the game. Dan Bailey hit another clutch field goal of 48 yards, keeping him perfect for the season on kicks under 50 yards. Previous game's grade: B

Coaching: D

Short-handed or not, the coaches couldn’t figure out how to stop Morris and the Redskins' offense. And the playcalling on offense was too erratic, failing to get necessary points early in the game and before halftime. Previous game's grade: C
