• Something has got to give when one of the worst offenses in the NFL meets one of the worst defenses. The Buffalo defense, which ranks last in the NFL in points allowed, could be just what the reeling Arizona offense needs, Craig Morgan of Fox Sports Arizona wrote.  “I’m sure we’ll both play with chips on our shoulder,” quarterback Kevin Kolb told Morgan. “I don’t care if it’s 6-3 or 60-53. At this point in my career, I want to win football games, regardless of how it looks.” Both units are looking to prove something, coming off miserable showings. While the Cardinals allowed nine sacks against St. Louis in Week 5, the Bills allowed 45 points to San Francisco.

  • The Arizona defense got the lion's share of the credit during the team's undefeated start. Now, they're taking some blame for the Cardinals' first loss, despite allowing just 17 points while the offense scored three against the St. Louis Rams. “Because we have zero margin for error,” safety Adrian Wilson told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com. “That’s the reality of what we are working with right now. Defensively, obviously, we feel we are the strength of the team and being the strength of the team, we have to carry the team the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter, fifth quarter, however long it takes.”

  • Kent Somers of AZCentral.com explained why the Cardinals chose not to make any moves at running back, despite the loss of Ryan Williams and Beanie Wells. Arizona is not enthralled with any free-agent options after a failed experiment with Chester Taylor, Somers reported.

  • The Cardinals are down two tight ends. Luckily, Rob Housler is reminding people they had additional options. Housler has contributed more than 45 yards in back-to-back games, becoming one of Kevin Kolb's most important targets. He had a season high three receptions against the Rams, and with Todd Heap and Jim Dray still both nursing knee injuries, he'll continue to see a larger role, Josh Weinfuss of AZCardinals.com reported.
