The Cardinals trimmed their roster to the requisite 75 on Friday, cutting 12 players while also waiving injured FB Jared Crank (neck), RB Thomas Clayton (knee) and placing LT Levi Brown (triceps surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Notable cuts: CB Marshay Green (3rd year, free agent, Mississippi) -- Green was was elevated to the 53-man roster on Nov. 23, 2011 but was inactive for the team’s final six games. … WR Jaymar Johnson (3rd year, 6th round, Jackson State) -- There was some thought that Johnson might make the team because he could give the team a much-needed deep threat, but he wasn’t a polished receiver and was outplayed by LaRon Byrd in camp, ending any chance he had at the roster.
