Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Strong all-around showing
Coulibaly closed with 17 points (7-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 111-88 loss to the Lakers.
The Wizards looked overmatched in this win, but Coulibaly delivered a solid showing across the board and filled the stat sheet. That's becoming customary for the second-year forward, who has improved by leaps and bounds this season compared to his rookie campaign. He's averaging 11.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game over his last six outings.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Modest results in loss
Coulibaly totaled 13 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Thursday's 130-123 loss to the Suns.
Coulibaly has been as streaky as any player in the NBA this season, but he's now strung together three straight performances in double-digit scoring figures after shooting a paltry 28.9 percent from the field over his prior five outings. The second-year wing has also recorded at least one steal or a block in eight of his last nine outings to help offset his shooting woes, but it's becoming clear the 2023 No. 7 overall pick remains a work in progress with the rebuilding Wizards. Coulibaly remains a solid source of defensive stats with the capability to contribute across the board, but fantasy managers will likely have to deal with some shaky nights offensively.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Returning to action Tuesday
Coulibaly (illness) will play in Tuesday's game against Houston, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Coulibaly missed the last two contests due to his illness, but he has been cleared to play and will be back in action Tuesday. He is averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks across 33.8 minutes this season.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Questionable to face Houston
Coulibaly (illness) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
Coulibaly is considered day-to-day due to a non-COVID illness, which has prevented him from playing in the Wizards' last two games. Kyshawn George and Corey Kispert have directly benefited from Coulibaly's absence in terms of playing time and increased usage on offense, though Johnny Davis and Anthony Gill could see some minutes off the bench if Coulibaly doesn't play Tuesday.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Won't play against NOLA
Coulibaly (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pelicans, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Coulibaly will miss his second straight game due to a non-COVID illness. He's considered day-to-day, and his next opportunity to play will be Tuesday against the Rockets. Kyshawn George and Corey Kispert should see an uptick in playing time off the Wizards' bench due to Coulibaly's absence.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Listed as questionable
Coulibaly (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pelicans.
Coulibaly was unable to play Friday against the Pelicans after leaving Wednesday's game versus the Bulls in the first quarter. He's day-to-day, however, and the Wizards may see how he feels Sunday morning before a decision is made on his status. Jordan Poole (hip) is also questionable Sunday.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Won't play Friday vs. NOLA
Coulibaly (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Coulibaly left in the first quarter of Wednesday's 125-107 win over the Bulls due to an illness. It appears serious enough for him to already be ruled out for Friday's game, and his next opportunity to play will be Sunday in a rematch against New Orleans. Corey Kispert and Kyshawn George stand to benefit the most from Coulibaly's absence in terms of playing time.

Coulibaly checked out of the game with 3:26 remaining in the first quarter and went to the locker room, with Washington ruling him out shortly thereafter. He'll end the contest with zero points (0-1 FG), two assists, one rebound and one steal over nine minutes. Corey Kispert and Kyshawn George could see additional playing time for the rest of Wednesday's game due to Coulibaly's absence.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Stuffs stat sheet Saturday
Coulibaly supplied 18 points (8-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals in 37 minutes during Saturday's 136-132 overtime loss to the Knicks.
Coulibaly filled the stat sheet Saturday. The second-year Frenchman recorded at least two tallies in five of the six major categories, and he didn't shy from the bigger offensive responsibility he had to carry due to the absence of Jordan Poole (hip). Coulibaly endured a rough patch between late November and early December, but he's been turning things around of late. He has 17 or more points in six of his last seven contests.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Scores 20 points in return
Coulibaly supplied 20 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds and five assists across 31 minutes during Thursday's 113-110 victory over the Hornets.
Coulibaly returned to the hardwood following a minor one-game absence, and he picked up right where he had left off. He's on a roll of six straight appearances with double-digit points and has scored at least 20 in three of those outings, representing his longest streak of the campaign in that regard. During that six-game stretch, the Frenchman is averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Set to play Thursday
Coulibaly (groin) is available for Thursday's game versus the Hornets.
Coulibaly has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday after missing Washington's previous contest due to right groin soreness. The 20-year-old forward is averaging 12.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals in 34.2 minutes across his last 10 outings.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Questionable for Thursday
Coulibaly (groin) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Hornets.
Coulibaly is in danger of missing a second straight game due to right groin soreness. Carlton Carrington started in Coulibaly's place against the Thunder on Monday, but both players are questionable for Thursday's game. If both are sidelined, Corey Kispert would be a likely beneficiary.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Unlikely to play Monday
Coulibaly (groin) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Thunder.
Coulibaly has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful and is now unlikely to play Monday. It would be his first absence since Nov. 18. The second-year wing had been on a roll, averaging 19.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks in 35.0 minutes per game over his last five appearances.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Ruled out
Coulibaly (groin) won't play in Monday's game against the Thunder, Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports.
Coulibaly was downgraded to doubtful Monday afternoon, so his absence doesn't come as much of a surprise. His absence should open up more minutes for Justin Champagnie, Corey Kispert and Johnny Davis. Coulibaly's next chance to play will come Thursday against Charlotte.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Nursing groin injury
Coulibaly is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder with right groin soreness.
Coulibaly has been surging as of late with averages of 19.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.4 three-pointers, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over his last five games, but the groin injury will jeopardize his availability for the start of Washington's three-game week. If Coulibaly is unable to suit up, the Wizards could turn to Corey Kispert, Justin Champagnie and Kyshawn George to pick up more minutes on the wing.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Continues surge Saturday
Coulibaly had 20 points (7-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals in 35 minutes during Saturday's 112-101 loss to the Bucks.
Coulibaly added to his recent surge Saturday, stuffing the stat sheet and recording his first double-double of the 2024-25 campaign with 20 points and 11 boards. After enduring a brutal cold spell, Coulibaly is now averaging 19.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 2.4 three-pointers per game across his past five contests. The 20-year-old former No. 7 overall pick should continue handling substantial minutes for the 4-22 Wizards, and while Coulibaly is unlikely to stay this hot all year long, he should remain a strong source of defensive stats as well as decent production across the board for fantasy managers.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Pops for 19 in loss
Coulibaly finished with 19 points (8-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 loss to Boston.
The streaky second-year wing is on the upswing again. After scoring no more than eight points in six straight games in late November and early December, Coulibaly has hit for at least 17 in three straight contests, averaging 21.0 points, 5.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 3.0 threes and 1.0 blocks over that short stretch. Coulibaly's overall production has taken a step forward in his sophomore campaign, but a true breakout will keep eluding him until he develops some consistency.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Matches career high with 27 points
Coulibaly totaled 27 points (10-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 40 minutes during Friday's 115-105 loss to Cleveland.
It was an exceptional showing by Coulibaly, who matched his career-high scoring figure with a game-high 27 points as Washington went toe-to-toe with Cleveland on Friday. It appears Coulibaly is getting back on track following a dreadful cold spell that saw him shoot a mere 17.6 percent from the field over six games from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7, as the 20-year-old forward has now scored 17 and 27 points, respectively, in his past two outings. The 3-20 Wizards should remain committed to a starting role for the 2023 No. 7 overall pick amid his growing pains, and Coulibaly remains a strong source of defensive stats for fantasy managers alongside decent production across the board while handling big minutes.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Posts solid line in loss
Coulibaly contributed 17 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Sunday's 140-112 loss to the Grizzlies.
Coulibaly posted a gem of a fantasy line Sunday -- his first double-digit scoring outing since Nov. 24. Coulibaly began the season hot, averaging 16.3 points on 57.3 percent shooting through his first nine games. Since, he's averaged 8.4 points on 30.8 percent shooting. The truth probably lays somewhere in between. At the very least, he's been a fairly stable source of rebounds (5.4), assists (3.1) and steals (1.7) all season. The sophomore is also shooting a career-high 78.3 percent from the charity stripe.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Rough shooting night in rout
Coulibaly provided four points (0-10 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Thursday's 137-101 loss to the Mavericks.
It was a dreadful showing on offense by Coulibaly, who was totally off the mark Thursday and failed to make a single field goal, but he did record three steals to somewhat salvage his night. While Coulibaly put together an encouraging start to the season, he's now shooting a miserable 21.7 percent from the field and 15.4 percent from downtown over his last seven games, a cold spell in which he's averaging 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals in 34.6 minutes per contest. However, the minutes should remain somewhat high for the 2023 No. 7 overall pick as he tries to find his identity offensively on the reeling Wizards, who have now lost 16 straight games as they continue to rebuild.
