The Rangers are talking to the Marlins about Josh Johnson.

With Cole Hamels now off the market, the Rangers' chances of acquiring a difference-maker are a bit slimmer.

The Rangers have told the Marlins that they would be willing to part with third baseman Mike Olt in a potential deal for Johnson, according to the USA Today's Bob Nightengale.

While the Marlins are willing to sell nearly every player, it would take a lot for them to part with Johnson, according to MLB.com’s Joe Frisaro.

The Rangers are still interested in Zack Greinke, according to CBSSports.com’s Danny Knobler. Greinke proved that he was healthy after Tuesday's performance.

The Braves will also make a play for Greinke now that Ryan Dempster has taken too long to waive his no-trade rights, according to CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman.
