Jordan Spieth and Smylie Kaufman combined to shoot 6 under in the first round of the Sony Open on Thursday. But their day didn't really pick up until they decided to go fishing in the Pacific Ocean as the rest of the field wrapped up the round. It ... did not go well.
Kaufman and Spieth, both of whom had their cell phones in plastic bags, got dumped into the water by a medium-sized wave as they were coming back in.
The inevitable finally happened.

The two were interviewed and discussed, among other things, flippers, their fishing abilities and Justin Thomas' sensational 59 earlier in the day (which both of them witnessed).
