After delivering some fantastic predictions in Week 1, last week was not so kind. While many of our bench and start options did what they were supposed to, Aaron Pflugrad and Eric Page became household names for their amazing efforts.

Then there was Phillip Payne, who scored against Wisconsin but couldn’t solve the Washington State riddle.

So as we look forward to a loaded Week 3. Here is a quick recap of week two.

Last Week's Wide Receiver Starts and Grades:

Van Chew, Syracuse vs. Maine: 8 receptions, 134 yards, TD. Grade: A

Chris Owusu, Stanford vs. Duke: 7 receptions, 106 yards, TD. Grade: A

Chris Givens, Wake Forest vs. NC State: 6 receptions, 111 yards. Grade: B+

Phillip Payne, UNLV vs. Washington State: 1 reception, 3 yards. Grade: F

Robert Herron, Wyoming vs. Texas State: 5 receptions, 29 yards. Grade: D

Last Week's Wide Receiver Sits and Grades:

Aaron Pflugrad, Arizona State vs. Missouri: 8 receptions, 180 yards, 2 TD. Grade: F

Chad Bumphis, Mississippi State vs. Auburn: 2 receptions, 31 yards. Grade: A

Derek Moye, Penn State vs. Alabama: 3 receptions, 51 yards. Grade: B+

Marquis Maze, Alabama vs. Penn State: 4 receptions, 42 yards. Grade: B+

Tavarres Jefferson, Middle Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech: 3 receptions, 7 yards. Grade: A

Eric Page, Toledo vs. Ohio State: 12 receptions, 145 yards, 2 TD. Grade: F

Start Em! Wide Receivers (BCS)

Nick Toon, Wisconsin vs. Northern Illinois: Toon found the end zone against Oregon State and after Northern Illinois allowed 45 to Kansas, Toon is a must-start this week. Russell Wilson looks locked in under center, and Toon should find the end zone at least once in what is a cushy matchup.

Keenan Allen, California vs. Presbyterian: Allen approached 100 yards and scored in Cal’s thrilling win against Colorado, and now the Bears get Presbyterian. His quarterback is coming off a four-touchdown effort and Allen is going to have a nice afternoon as he provides immense matchup problems for Presbyterian.

Ryan Swope, Texas A&M vs. Idaho: Swope is coming off a bye week, so if he is out on your waiver wire, take a stab at him. He is a quality option every week and the Aggies should hang 50 on Idaho. Swope is a good bet for seven catches, 150 yards and a score, which every owner should take advantage of on any given week.

Paul Richardson, Colorado vs. Colorado State: If you missed it, Richardson caught 11 balls for 284 yards and two scores. Yes, 284 yards. Now the Buffalos get the Rams in an in-state rivalry game. Richardson is the No. 1 receiver in Boulder and is a safe play this week.

All 120

Josh Boyce, TCU vs. Louisiana-Monroe: Boyce is a man amongst boys, which will be evident this week against Louisiana-Monroe. Boyce had a quiet Week 2 with only five receptions, but TCU blew out Air Force in the first half. Expect Boyce to blow up and get in the end zone this week.

All Hawaii receivers vs. UNLV/ All Baylor receivers vs. Stephen F. Austin: I will bunch these two groups together because neither unit should have much challenge in putting up stats. UNLV just gave up 59 points to Washington State. What that means to me is Royce Pollard, Darius Bright and Jeremiah Ostrowski (monitor injury) are all must-starts. Expect Hawaii quarterback Bryant Moniz to complete 35 passes, which means each should grab 6-10 balls with close to 100 yards and a score.

And what else do you need to know about Baylor against Stephen F. Austin? That means Kendall Wright and Terrance Williams are must plays and will pick up monster numbers.

Sit Em! Wide Receivers (BCS)

Kenny Stills, Oklahoma vs. Florida State: While Stills is explosive and has every chance to score in his return to the lineup, if you have safer options play them. Florida State is a top five team, one that will be amped up to play a home game in primetime against the No. 1 team. Find safer options but do not cut Stills for a safer one-week option.

Van Chew, Syracuse vs. USC: Just one week after we recommended Chew he delivered with a touchdown, but you must bench him against the Trojans. As a Syracuse alum, I would be shocked if Chew catches more than four balls or finds the end zone. He needs to remain on the bench this week.

Rashad Greene, Florida State vs. Oklahoma: Greene busted out with two scores for FSU in Week 2, but does not seem poised to repeat that performance against the Sooners in primetime. Greene only caught two passes, so remember that he does have big play ability but is not likely to find busted coverage against the top team in the nation.

All 120

Dwayne Frampton, Arkansas State vs. Virginia Tech: Frampton found the end zone against Memphis, but look what the Hokies defense did in completely shutting down Lance Lewis of ECU this past weekend. Frampton is a non-BCS beast, just not this week.

Bryan Burnham, Tulsa vs. Oklahoma State: Burnham is a waiver wire candidate this week but faces a tough matchup, as Oklahoma State is not Tulane. Burnham has scored in each of the opening weeks and is a big play threat, but should be kept on sidelines for this week.
