Commanders' Andrew Norwell: Lands deal with Commanders

Norwell signed a contract with the Commanders on Thursday.

Norwell played for coach Ron Rivera with the Panthers from 2014 to 2017, and he'll rejoin his former coach in Washington after spending four seasons in Jacksonville. The Commanders cut Ereck Flowers on Wednesday and lost Brandon Scherff to the Jaguars via free agency, so Norwell is in line for a starting role on Washington's offensive line heading into offseason activities.
