Brown will return to a reserve role for Friday's matchup with the Magic, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
With Gary Trent (groin) back and returning to the starting lineup, Brown will play a role off the bench. The 27-year-old has averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 23.2 minutes in 14 games as a reserve this season.
