Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Joins active roster
The Jets activated Bernard-Converse (foot) from the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Bernard-Converse was placed on the team's reserve/PUP list on July 19 after sustaining a foot injury and missed the team's training camp. He was taken by the Jets in the sixth round of the 2023 draft after registering 45 tackles (30 solo) and two interceptions in his final season at LSU. He could see some significant playing time in the Jets' secondary right off the bat with injuries to Sauce Gardner (concussion), D.J. Reed (concussion) and Brandin Echols (hamstring).

The Jets designated Bernard-Converse (foot) to return from the PUP list Wednesday.
Bernard-Converse will have 21 days to be added to the active roster or he will be forced to remain on the PUP list for the rest of the season. For now, the rookie sixth-round pick can return to practice and will work toward making his NFL debut.

The Jets placed Bernard-Converse on the active/PUP list Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The severity of the injury remains unclear, but Bernard-Converse is eligible to practice and/or play at any point during the preseason. The LSU product was a sixth-round pick by the Jets in April, and when healthy, he'll compete for a depth role in New York's secondary.

The 6-foot-1 corner wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, but he reportedly posted a 4.39 40-yard dash at his LSU Pro Day and offers a wealth of experience having played in 64 contests across his collegiate career. Expect the lengthy secondary player to give the Jets some versatility as a depth piece.
