Kevin Hervey: Finds work in Russia
Hervey signed a one-year contract with Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban in September, Johnny Askounis of Eurohoops.net reports.
Hervey opted to continue his career overseas after the Thunder declined to re-sign him this offseason, when his one-year, two-way deal with the club expired. As a rookie in 2019-20, Hervey appeared in 10 games for Oklahoma City, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.2 minutes per contest. The Thunder have since reserved their two two-way spots for center Moses Brown and forward Josh Hall.

Thunder's Kevin Hervey: Scores 22 points in loss
Hervey posted 22 points (8-18 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five assists, four rebounds and two steals over 29 minutes of G League action during Sunday's 117-113 G League loss to the Austin Spurs.
Hervey fell just short of his season high of 23 points he dropped back in November. The 23-year-old launched from deep early and often, hitting six of 15 attempts. On the season, Hervey is averaging 12.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals over 25.9 minutes per game.

Hervey finshed with 13 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block across 19 minutes during Tuesday's 137-118 G League win over Long Island.
Hervey has remained steady in his offensive production, as he's scored between 12 and 14 points in six out of his past eight games. Heading into the All-Star break, the center is averaging 12.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals on the season.

Coming off a game in which Hervey went 1-for-13 from deep and 3-for-19 overall from the field, the 23-year-old tightened it up and enjoyed his most efficient shooting performance in two months. Hervey finished with zero points (0-1 FG) in one minute during Thursday's 110-97 loss to the Grizzlies.
Hervey checked in with just over a minute remaining and hoisted one shot attempt in his NBA debut. He has been a standout player of sorts for the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League dating back to last season, and Hervey boasts athleticism and shooting potential that could make him a decent stretch power forward down the line. The Thunder recalled Hervey on Thursday from the G League's Oklahoma City Blue.
Hervey, who had been dealing with a minor ankle injury, will head to the NBA level for the first time in his career. Hervey totaled 17 points (5-15 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 17 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks across 30 minutes during the Thunder's 84-81 overtime win over the 76ers in a Las Vegas Summer League game Monday.
One of the primary purposes of summer league play is to uncover potential diamonds in the rough who may have lacked opportunity previously. Hervey's dominant performance Monday, one that saw him pace the Thunder in both scoring and rebounding, thus served as an excellent example of the type of breakout effort that can elevate a player significantly. Hervey had opened summer league play with an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double as well, so he's been dominant through his first pair of contests in the desert. The 22-year-old forward averaged 11.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals across 32 games (15 starts) with the G League's OKC Blue last season, and he'll look to continue making his case for a training camp invite during his remaining games in Las Vegas.

Thunder's Kevin Hervey: Notches bench-high 12 points Monday
Hervey finished Monday's 82-92 summer league win over the Raptors with 12 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 15 minutes.
The 57th overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft, Hervey has been relatively quiet throughout the summer league thus far. However, his performance Monday was a nice breakout, as Hervey shot 66.7 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point land to score 12 points in just 15 minutes. It was an extremely efficient outing and shows the all-around scoring potential that the 6-foot-8 forward has. Hervey averaged a whopping 20.5 points in his final year of collegiate eligibility at Texas at Arlington.
