WWE is setting up for a big year of pay-per-view events in 2023. It is full speed ahead on the road to WrestleMania 39, headlined by a red-hot rivalry between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
This year, WWE's flagship event will go down from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. As with the past few years, WrestleMania 39 will take place over two nights. The event will go down on April 1 and 2. Undisputed WWE universal champion Reigns defends his two world titles against 2023 men's Royal Rumble winner Rhodes on the closing night. A number of legends are also performing the card. John Cena, Lita and Trish Stratus all have matches announced with Cena notably competing for the United States title.
WWE is globetrotting this year with its marquee events. The company brings a major show to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the first time in 18 years when Bad Bunny hosts Backlash on May 6. WWE then jets off to Saudi Arabia on May 27 for King and Queen of the Ring and London on July 1 for Money in the Bank, WWE's first major London card since 2002. The company returns stateside for SummerSlam, set for Ford Field in Detroit on Aug. 5.
