The pending unrestricted free agent is having an epic season. Reinhart's previous career high in goals was 33 which was set in 2021-22 when he had a career-high 82-point season. He has 89 points and counting in 2023-24, and Reinhart leads the NHL with 27 power-play goals. With one more, he'll break a tie for fifth all time by an NHL center in a season. Leon Draisaitl (2022-23) is currently in first with 32 PPG in a season. Mario Lemieux (1988-89 and 1995-96)) and Joe Nieuwendyk (1987-88) sit tied for second all time with 31.

The 28-year-old winger has shown no signs of slowing down toward the end of his career-best season. Over 12 games in March, Reinhart has racked up 10 goals and 13 points -- he needs six more points over Florida's final 10 games to reach 90 for the first time.

Reinhart picked up a loose puck at the edge of the crease in the second period and jammed in a power-play marker. It drew the Panthers within two goals. Reinhart then pulled his team to within one goal late in the third when he skated around the back of the net, poked the puck away from Matt Dumba and scored a sharp angle goal while Andrei Vasilevskiy was out of position. Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Leads NHL in power-play goals
Reinhart scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 4-2 win over Washington.
Reinhart leads the league with 21 power-play goals. He deflected a point shot by Matthew Tkachuk to knot the game 2-2 late in the second. Reinhart's 13-game point streak ended Tuesday in a loss to Philly, but he now has 13 power-play goals in his last 19 games. This red-hot trend will cool, but Reinhart's excellent season continues to rage along. He has 38 goals and 63 points in just 51 games, and he is on pace to obliterate his career-best mark of 82 in 78 games (2021-22). He's going to carry you to a championship.

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Makes history Wednesday
Reinhart scored a shorthanded goal in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Red Wings.
The 28-year-old opened the scoring early in the second period, moving full speed into the Detroit zone to take a pass from Anton Lundell and snapping the puck past Alex Lyon. Reinhart has found the back of the net in an incredible eight straight games, and at least one goal in each contest has come either on the power play or on the penalty kill, setting an NHL record for consecutive games with special-teams tallies. Reinhart also set a new franchise record with his eight-game goal streak, surpassing Pavel Bure's seven-game streak from 2000-01.
