Jensen scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 6-5 shootout win over the Bruins.
After having a hand in an Adam Gaudette tally early in the first period that opened the scoring, Jensen sparked a Sens rally from a 5-3 deficit late in the third by slipping a shot through heavy traffic and past Jeremy Swayman. It was Jensen's first goal and first multi-point performance since Dec. 13, but he's been picking up his scoring pace in January, collecting five points in the last seven contests.

Jensen should be available to play against Detroit on Tuesday after skipping Sunday's session. According to TSN 1200 Ottawa, he appeared to favor his right leg during a drill in Monday's session, but if that isn't a problem, he should be in the lineup versus the Red Wings. Jensen has two goals, 13 points, 45 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and 37 hits in 38 appearances this season. Still, Ottawa may recall another defenseman ahead of Tuesday's game for insurance after Jacob Bernard-Docker (lower body) sustained an injury in Monday's practice and Travis Hamonic (lower body) was placed on injured reserve.

The Senators' third line and second defensive pairing was on the ice for all three goals. Jensen helped out on a Shane Pinto goal in the second period and then scored one of his own in the third. With five points over six games in December, this has already been Jensen's best month of the campaign. He now has two goals, 13 points, 39 shots on net, 34 hits, 31 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating over 29 appearances. Jensen picked up two assists Tuesday in a 5-2 loss to Edmonton.
He's not much of a fantasy scorer -- his best season came in 2022-23 when he scored five goals and added 24 assists in 77 games with the Caps. So this was a nice one-off for the defender. Jensen usually gets under the skin of opponents, which he did Tuesday. Vasily Podkolzin rubbed him into the boards in the second and rode him right into the stanchion by the Oilers bench. Jensen left and returned for the third.

Jenson scored a goal Thursday in a 4-2 loss to the Islanders.
It was Jensen's first goal of the season and first as a Sen. It was also his first point in six games. He isn't known for his offense, but he looked every part the scorer Thursday. Jensen walked in from the point and beat a screened Semyon Varlamov with a wrist shot glove side. He does have six points in 13 games this season, but don't expect that pace to continue. Jensen is a minute-munching defender whose best season came two years ago with 29 points in 77 games with the Caps. Last season, he put up one goal and 13 assists with 71 shots in 78 games.
