Cardinals' Karlos Dansby: Leads Cards with 95 tackles
Dansby paced the Cardinals with 95 tackles (74 solo) during the 2017 season.
The tackle output was the lowest for a 16-game slate in Dansby's 14-year career, but the 36-year-old was due for some regression at some point. In the process, he broke his streak of pro-rated campaigns with 100 tackles at 10, signifying that he hasn't fallen too far from his peak. He supplemented his line with one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery, the fifth time he's achieved the feat. As an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, Dansby's age could force the Cardinals to look elsewhere at inside linebacker, but he should be good for a significant number of stops wherever he lands.

Dansby didn't require more than Friday's capped practice in order to take the field in this penultimate game of the season. On the year, he's averaged 5.6 tackles per game while tacking on one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery in 14 outings.

Dansby was removed from a Week 15 matchup at Washington with a calf injury, but his ensuing workload in practice has been impacted by a knee issue. After back-to-back absences, he returned in a limited capacity Friday, giving hope that he'll man his starting spot at inside linebacker Sunday. On the season, Dansby has accrued 79 tackles, one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery in 14 games.

Dansby left Sunday's game in the third quarter and Josh Bynes initially stepped in. However, if Dansby can't return, expect Haason Reddick and Scooby Wright to also see an increase in defensive snaps. If Dansby's injury is long-term, he could sit out in Week 16 against the Giants and miss his first game since the 2014 season.

Dansby was able to record his first sack and interception of the season Sunday, making it easily his most productive fantasy outing. The veteran linebacker has been inconsistent with his tackle count this season, however, which has limited his usefulness in IDP settings.

Dansby exited the Cardinals' most recent game Oct. 22 against the Rams with the finger injury, but the hamstring issue looks to be a new concern for the linebacker. In any case, it's somewhat troubling that Dansby has been unable to take the field in any capacity in the Cardinals' first two practices of the week coming off a bye. The inside linebacker, who has accrued 37 total tackles in seven games on the season, looks to be at risk of missing Sunday's matchup with the 49ers.
