Winston returned to the Seahawks' practice squad after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but it now appears that Seattle has moved on from the 27-year-old once again. Winston spent all of 2023 on the Seahawks' practice squad, and he saw action in Week 7 against the Cardinals, during which he played two offensive snaps. Winston had a solid preseason, finishing with eight catches (on 10 targets) for 99 yards and one touchdown across three games. He'll stick around on Seattle's taxi squad and stay ready for a promotion to the active roster during the upcoming season.

Seahawks' Easop Winston: Scores in presseason loss
Winston caught three of four targets for 47 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 16-15 preseason loss to the Titans.
Winston started the game and scored on a 23-yard go route from Sam Howell in the first quarter. The 27-year-old now has 77 yards through two preseason games, the most of any Seahawks receiver. Winston is making a good case to earn one of the final roster spots, and his usage as a punt returner works in his favor, too.

Winston signed a reserve/future contract with the Seahawks on Monday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Winston first came into the league with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State in 2020 and ultimately found his way to Seattle in 2022. The 27-year-old appeared in one game with the Seahawks this past season, seeing two snaps on offense, but not getting a target. He'll now have an opportunity to make a bigger impact with the franchise next year.

If he clears waivers, Winston could be a candidate to end up back with Seattle as a member of the practice squad. He suited up for three games with the Saints in 2021 and performed adequately as a punt returner in those contests.

Winston returns to the Seahawks after being waived by them April 15. Winston has bounced around since going undrafted out of Washington State in 2020 and spent time on the Saints', Browns' and Seahawks' practice squads in 2022. His last season of playing time came in 2021 with the Saints, with whom he returned 10 kicks for 119 total yards.
