Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Snap count slips
Wilson had six carries for 24 yards and one reception for minus-nine yards in Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Rams.
Wilson recorded a touch on nearly half his snaps, but he was only on the field for 15 of the 59 plays the Packers ran on offense, with starting running back Josh Jacobs handling the other 44. Wilson came close to matching Jacobs in both snaps and touches in both Weeks 3 and 4, but Sunday's contest provided a reminder of the pecking order in Green Bay's backfield.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Contained by Vikings
Wilson had eight carries for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Vikings.
Wilson racked up 14 touches, 85 yards from scrimmage and a score in Week 3, but he did not come close to matching those numbers Sunday with the Packers spending the bulk of the game in catch-up mode after going down 28-0 in the first half. Wilson did, however, play an expanded role for the second week in a row, and across Green Bay's last two contests he totaled 22 touches compared to 28 for starting running back Josh Jacobs. That could be enough for fantasy players to justify using a roster spot on Wilson, but Jacobs remains the primary option in the backfield for the Packers.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Racks up 85 yards
Wilson rushed the ball 12 times for 50 yards in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Titans. He added two receptions on two targets for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Wilson stepped into a more significant role with MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) out, and he delivered as Green Bay's most effective running back. His most impactful play came midway through the third quarter on a 31-yard screen that Wilson took to the house for the first touchdown of his career. Josh Jacobs was shut down by Tennessee to open the door for Wilson, but Wilson will remain firmly behind Jacobs on the depth chart despite the impressive performance.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Likely to assume No. 2 RB role
Wilson is expected to serve as the Packers' No. 2 running back behind Josh Jacobs beginning with Sunday's game at Tennessee after Green Bay placed MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday.
While Lloyd was sidelined with a hamstring injury in the Packers' Week 1 loss to the Eagles, Wilson operated as the clear No. 2 back, logging a 26 percent snap share while carrying four times for 46 yards and catching two passes for two yards. Lloyd returned for the Packers' Week 2 win over the Colts and worked ahead of Wilson, though the latter still played 18 percent of snaps and carried five times for nine yards. With Lloyd injuring his ankle in Week 2 and now set to miss at least the next four games, Wilson should reprise the role he held Week 1 as the first back off the bench behind Jacobs. The absence of Lloyd could result in a slight uptick in snaps and touches for Wilson, but Wilson is still unlikely to be a reliable fantasy option unless Jacobs is out or limited due to injury.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Encounters more competition
Wilson had five carries for nine yards in Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Colts.
The Packers ran the ball a whopping 53 times Week 2, with starting running back Josh Jacobs tallying 32 of those totes. Wilson took a handful himself, but he received one fewer carry than fellow reserve MarShawn Lloyd and was the third Green Bay running back into the game. Lloyd injured his ankle Week 2 and is uncertain moving forward, but the rookie seemingly will operate as the No. 2 running back when healthy, which would leave Wilson third in line for carries.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Excels in backup role
Wilson had four carries for 46 yards and two receptions for two yards in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles.
A hip injury left Wilson's status for Week 1 uncertain, but he suited up and filled the backup spot behind starter Josh Jacobs and ripped off several quality runs. Rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) could be back for Week 2, but he has not gotten in much work since the start of training camp, so Wilson could continue working in the No. 2 role.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Suiting up Friday
Wilson (hip) is active for Friday's game against the Eagles in Brazil, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
There was no indication Wilson was tending to an injury before Week 1 prep, but the Packers capped his practice reps all week due to a hip issue before listing him as questionable. Now that he's active and rookie third-rounder MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) isn't, Wilson should serve as the No. 2 RB behind starter Josh Jacobs for at least one contest. However, Green Bay elevated Ellis Merriweather from the practice squad Friday, meaning Wilson may be only an emergency option.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Questionable for Week 1
Wilson (hip) is listed as questionable for Friday's contest against the Eagles in Brazil, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Wilson opened and closed Week 1 prep with limited listings across the board due to a hip issue. Meanwhile, rookie third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd finally logged an official limited practice Thursday as a result of the calf injury that has plagued him since Aug. 10, also leaving him questionable for Friday. Josh Jacobs represents Green Bay's clear-cut No. 1 running back, but who among Wilson or Lloyd will handle direct backup duties to kick off the campaign remains to be seen.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Managing hip injury
Wilson (hip) was limited in Tuesday's practice.
The running back will have two more opportunities to increase his level of practice participation before the Packers tag Wilson with an injury designation ahead of Friday's regular-season opener against the Eagles in Brazil. Fellow depth RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant Tuesday, but entrenched starter Josh Jacobs appears fully healthy and ready for Week 1.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Limited in practice again
Wilson (hip) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Both of the backup running backs on Green Bay's 53-man roster are tending to injuries as Friday's season opener versus the Eagles in Brazil approaches, as both Wilson and MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) were gauged as limited participants Wednesday. Wilson is likely the healthier of the two of the moment, as he was also limited in Tuesday's session, while Lloyd was held out entirely. Even if Wilson is cleared in advance of Friday's game and has the No. 2 role all to himself, he may not be in store for a major role behind lead back Josh Jacobs.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Could begin as backup
Wilson could open the season as Green Bay's No. 2 running back, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
The Packers list Wilson as the third running back on the depth chart posted on their official website, behind starter Josh Jacobs and rookie MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring). However, Lloyd has seen little action during training camp due to injuries, so Wilson -- the only other running back on the roster with AJ Dillon (neck) landing on injured reserve -- could work as the No. 2 option to begin the season. Jacobs will be busy as long as he stays healthy, and Lloyd should be a factor at some point, but Wilson is at least in the mix heading into the Packers' season opener Sept. 6 versus the Eagles in Brazil.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Starts preseason finale
Wilson took 11 carries for 52 yards and caught both of his targets for 26 yards in Saturday's preseason finale.
Wilson started the Packers' final exhibition due to Josh Jacobs (coach's decision) and AJ Dillon (neck) sitting out the win over Baltimore. With the start of the season right around the corner, Wilson appears to not only have the inside track to a spot on the final roster, but he could find himself in the No. 2 role should Dillon's neck injury cost him any time once the games begin to count. Managers in deep leagues should take note of Wilson and the backup situation in Green Bay.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Likely to make roster
Wilson is considered likely to make Green Bay's 53-man roster, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
Rookie MarShawn Lloyd is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, and AJ Dillon is dealing with a neck stinger, which could provide a path for Wilson to make the Packers' Week 1 roster. The 25-year-old rushed 14 times for 85 scoreless yards and caught four passes for 23 yards last season with Green Bay. There's an outside shot Wilson has a role in the season opener behind Josh Jacobs if both Lloyd and Dillon remain on the shelf.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Continues competing for spot
Wilson had 13 carries for 41 yards and one reception for 11 yards in Sunday's preseason game against the Broncos.
Wilson started Sunday's contest with the Packers holding out all three players ahead of him on the depth chart, and although he did not find much running room, he did tally both a 15-yard run and the 11-yard catch. With AJ Dillon sitting out Sunday, it seems likely he has secured a roster spot, so it's looking like the Packers will need to open with four running backs or place MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve for Wilson to make the cut.
