Jaguars' Tim Jones: Back in Jacksonville
The Jaguars re-signed Jones on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Jones was an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, so the Jaguars had the option to retain him for 2024. The wideout appeared in all 17 games last season for the second straight year, finishing the campaign with an 11-83-0 line on 18 targets. He upped his offensive involvement from 145 snaps in 2022 to 339 due to injuries to Christian Kirk and Zay Jones during the year. Jones will again compete for a depth job this summer.

Jaguars' Tim Jones: One catch in finale
Jones caught one of two targets for seven yards during the Jaguars' Week 18 loss to the Titans. He closed out the season with 11 receptions for 83 yards in 17 games.
The 25-year-old played in all of Jacksonville's games for the second straight year and was a bit more involved in the offense, but it didn't result in notable production. Jones will be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason and could be back with Jacksonville for 2024, but he's unlikely to be anything more than a depth wideout.

Jones failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 26-0 win against the Panthers.
The 25-year-old played 39 of 63 offensive snaps -- trailing only Calvin Ridley among the Jags' wideouts -- but was minimally involved in the passing game. Jones secured three passes for 32 yards last week in Tampa Bay but is otherwise catchless over Jacksonville's past seven games. He has limited upside even if Zay Jones (hamstring) sits out again in Week 18.

Jones secured three of five targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-12 loss against Tampa Bay.
The 25-year-old hauled in his first catch since Week 10 and now has 10 receptions for 76 yards this season. Jones is unlikely to be a relevant name for fantasy players, but he could continue to have an increased role if Zay Jones (hamstring) misses more time.

Jones failed to catch his lone target during Monday's 34-31 loss to Cincinnati.
The 25-year-old seemed primed for an expanded role Monday after Christian Kirk (core muscle) suffered an injury on the first drive, but rookie sixth-round pick Parker Washington instead stepped up, catching six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Jones worked as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout at times earlier this season but has just seven catches for 44 yards in 12 games, so he's not likely to be fantasy relevant even though Kirk is facing a multi-week absence.
