  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Quiet in win

Knox secured one of his two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 37-3 win over the Commanders.

Despite the Bills winning in a blowout over the Commanders, Knox wasn't a significant part of the offensive game plan Sunday. The 26-year-old and fellow tight end Dalton Kincaid both saw two targets in the contest, yet Knox saw the field slightly more, handling 41 snaps to Kincaid's 35 snaps. Going forward, Knox's fantasy utility for most weeks looks as though it'll hinge on him finding the end zone, as his usage in short areas of the field along with the timeshare with Kincaid limit his ability to rack up both receptions and yardage.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Practices fully, slated to play

Knox (back) practiced in full Friday and doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's Week 3 game against the Commanders.

Knox missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, but it was evidently just precautionary. On nine targets through two games, Knox has six catches for 35 yards and one touchdown. He's a TD-dependent fantasy option in a tough draw against Washington's stout back end.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Returning to practice

Knox (back) is in line to practice Friday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Knox didn't practice either Wednesday or Thursday, so his looming return to the field Friday offers hope that the tight end could suit up Sunday against the Commanders. The Bills' upcoming injury report will clarify both Knox's level of participation as well as whether he'll head into the weekend with a Week 3 injury designation.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Not practicing again

Knox (back) won't practice Thursday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.

Knox also missed Wednesday's practice, so the tight end -- who is taking things "one day at a time" per coach coach Sean McDermott -- will probably need to work in some capacity Friday in order to have a chance to suit up Sunday against the Commanders. If Knox ends up sidelined this weekend, fellow TE Dalton Kincaid would be in line for added opportunities Week 3.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Not practicing Wednesday

Knox won't practice Wednesday due to a back injury, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Knox has two more opportunities to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, but if he's out this weekend, fellow tight end Dalton Kincaid would be in line for added opportunities. Through two contests to begin the 2023 season, Knox has caught six passes on nine targets for 35 yards and a touchdown.

  • Bills' Dawson Knox: Finds end zone

Knox recorded three receptions on five targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Raiders.

Knox saw a similar amount of opportunity as compared to Dalton Kincaid, though he was far less productive. The exception was that Knox found the end zone from two yards away early in the second quarter after shaking free from the attention of the Las Vegas secondary. Overall, his role seems to be strictly in the short areas of the field, so much of his fantasy production will have to come from reaching the end zone.
