Hakeem Butler: Reaches injury settlement
The Steelers waived Butler (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Butler originally reverted to the Steelers' IR after going unclaimed off waivers. The nature of his injury is still unclear, but he will now be free to play again this year once he is back to full health. Since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the pass catcher has suited up for only two regular-season games, both in 2020.

It's not clear at this time what specific injury Butler is dealing with. Butler is a once-hyped former Cardinal who was taken in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He turned 27 years old Tuesday and is back in the NFL after a wildly successful run with the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks this spring. Butler caught 51 balls for 599 yards and a league-best eight touchdowns. At 6-foot-5 and 227 pounds, Butler has size for days. He'll compete for a reserve role with Pittsburgh.
