Bengals' Cody Ford: Joins Cincinnati

Ford (ankle) was activated from IR on Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Cardinals' Cody Ford: Return from IR imminent
Arizona designated Ford (ankle) to return from its injured reserve list Tuesday.
Once Ford returns to practice, the Cardinals will have a 21-day window to activate him before they would have to place him back on their injured reserve list for the season. When the 2019 second-rounder is ready to play, he'll provide depth to an interior offensive line who may have just lost a starter for the remainder of the season in Justin Pugh (knee).

Cardinals' Cody Ford: Shuffling out of Buffalo
Ford was traded from the Bills to the Cardinals on Monday in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick, Howard Balzer of Sports Illustrated reports.
Ford has been a disappointment for the Bills since being drafted in the second round in 2019, and with the team adding adequate depth in the offseason, he's no longer essential. Ford will get a second chance in Arizona with college teammate Kyler Murray and likely slots in as a backup guard at this stage, but he does have the raw talent to move up to a starter's role if he can show more polish with his new team.
