Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Lands on IR
The Dolphins placed Berrios (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Berrios sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Colts, and being placed on IR on Monday suggests the issue is significant. The 29-year-old now will be forced to miss the Dolphins' next four games, with his earliest possible return coming Week 12 against the Patriots. After Berrios' placement on IR, the Dolphins have just four wide receivers on their active roster: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham and rookie Malik Washington. Expect De'Von Achane and Washington to serve as Miami's top kick and punt returners, respectively, until Berrios can return.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Might have significant injury
Berrios' left knee injury might be "significant," Josh Moser of WSVN-TV in Miami reports.

Berrios practiced fully Friday after limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday to gain clearance for Sunday's showdown between AFC East cellar dwellers. He'll play his usual role in the slot while returning both kickoffs and punts, but Miami's ceiling on offense remains low with Tyler Huntley set to start under center, and most of Huntley's throws will likely be directed to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Berrios (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Berrios appears to have sustained an ankle injury during the Dolphins' Week 4 loss to the Titans, despite playing 26 total snaps (14 offensive and 12 on special teams) and logging 27 punt-return yards. The Miami product's participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his potential availability in Week 5, as the Dolphins travel to New England.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Returns two kickoffs in win
Berrios (undisclosed) did not secure either of his two targets during Saturday's 13-6 preseason win over the Commanders.
Berrios didn't do much in the receiving game, but he did return two kickoffs for 41 yards (20 and 21 yards each). His lone punt return was a fair catch. Rookie sixth-round pick Malik Washington was also involved in the return game, as he brought back five punts for 35 yards. Berrios missed time due to an undisclosed injury earlier in training camp but is now demonstrably healthy.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Not practicing due to minor issue
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that Berrios is dealing with a minor, unspecified injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
The slot receiver and return specialist didn't practice Wednesday and presumably won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Falcons. Berrios is still expected to be ready well before the start of the regular season.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Returns to Miami
Berrios signed a one-year contract worth up to $3 million with the Dolphins on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPNreports.
Berrios tallied just seven receptions for 44 yards over the Dolphins' final nine contests, which is surprising given he played at minimum 40 percent of the offensive snaps in every contest. Expect the veteran to primarily be the team's return man once again, a role that allowed him to tally 676 total return yards last season.

Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Wraps regular season with two grabs
Berrios secured both of his targets for nine yards during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Bills.
As has often been the case recently, Berrios ended the regular season with a minor role on offense, even with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined. The 28-year-old came on strong out of the gate, recording 146 of his 238 yards and his only touchdown during the Dolphins' first four games of the year. However, down the stretch, his best contributions came in the return game. In all. Berrios secured 27 of 33 targets for 238 yards and one score across 16 appearances for Miami, while also rushing once for 11 yards. With his one-year deal coming to a close, Berrios has every incentive to try and impress during the playoffs, starting with Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Chiefs.
