Coach Leslie Frazier said after the preseason game Friday night that the staff would meet Saturday to discuss roster cuts that are due Sunday.

True to his word, the Vikings cut 15 players to pare their roster to the mandatory limit of 75, and they will surely be scouring the waiver wire for safeties with the loss of two to injury in the Chargers game Friday.

Notable cuts: There are no surprise names on the list, with the possible exception of WR Bryan Walters, who was in a battle for the punt/kick returner. But Walters did little with his opportunity Friday against the Chargers and also failed to distinguish himself from the other WRs in camp.
