Seahawks offensive lineman Stephen Schilling has announced that he is retiring, reports the Seattle Times.

Schilling has been dealing with knee issues, but that was not the main reason behind his decision to retire.

“There were a lot of things, I would say,” he said. “Just a personal choice for me at this time in my life. I wouldn’t say there was any one reason or not. Just more of a personal choice.’’

After spending time with the Chargers for three seasons, Schilling played in eight games for the Seahawks in 2014. The 26-year-old had five starts in 26 career games played, three of which were last year.
