There will be no holdout for Dashon Goldson.

San Francisco's Pro Bowl safety signed his one-year franchise tender, the team announced Thursday.

Goldson didn't participate in offseason workouts while seeking a long-term contract, but a deal never came to fruition before the July 16 deadline. He will make $6.2 million in 2012.

"He believes the team has unfinished business from last year and he wanted to be with his teammates and not miss out on an opportunity to pick up where the team left off last year," his agent, Ben Dogra, told CSNBayArea.com.

The sixth-year pro is coming off the best season of his career. He started all 14 games he played in and registered a career-high six INTs.

Veterans are required to arrive to the team's facility Thursday and the first official practice is Friday.
