Could this man land in Seattle?. (Getty Images)

The Seahawks may not have won the Super Bowl, but they could win free agency if this wish comes to fruition. According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, Detroit Lions free agent defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh "would love to be with the Seattle Seahawks." Cole continued, "This is his number one choice -- because Suh is from the northwest area, grew up in Portland, he'd like to be there."

Well, now. That would certainly be terrifying. Suh on the same defensive line as Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril and Jordan Hill, with Bruce Irvin and O'Brien Schofield (among others) providing additional pressure, and with that secondary behind it, would be unfair to quarterbacks everywhere.

But let's slow our roll a bit here. The Seahawks are slated to have approximately $23 million in cap room this offseason, which would be enough to sign Suh ... if that was the only move they were planning to make, as Suh will likely be looking to command a contract in the neighborhood of $100 million or more.

But Seattle still has to give new contracts to Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and Bobby Wagner, each of whom is fairly essential to Seattle's success, and they'll have to allocate money to each of their draft picks as well. Beyond that, defensive tackle is hardly at the top of the list of the Seahawks' needs. They already have Hill and Brandon Mebane coming back from injury, plus Tony McDaniel and Jesse Williams, and Bennett slides inside on some passing downs. So while the Suh-hawks would be a sight to see, it doesn't seem all that likely to be a reality.
