Left tackle Trent Williams, who suffered a bone bruise in his left foot during Thursday's preseason opener vs. Buffalo, did not practice Saturday. Coach Mike Shanahan said he wasn't sure when Williams would return to practice.

"He's pretty sore right now," Shanahan said. "We have to play it day by day. I know it’ll be a few days. It’s wait and see right now.”

Williams is the fourth member of the starting offensive line to get hurt this summer. Right guard Chris Chester, who did not play vs. Buffalo because of a sprained left ankle, is 85 percent recovered, Shanahan said. But he'll possibly return for the second preseason game at Chicago on Aug. 18. Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger (knee) won't return until the season opener and RT Jammal Brown (hips) is more uncertain. Shanahan said there was no improvement in Brown's status. He's been working out at the team's facility.
