Jets CB Antonio Cromartie not talking about his 'second-best receiver' comment

After anointing himself the Jets' second-best receiver, CB Antonio Cromartie has gone radio silent with the media the past two days, but WR Chaz Schilens, who initially took offense to Cromartie's comment, says the issue has been worked out.

Antonio Cromartie refused to speak to media again on Thursday. Cromartie told ESPN on Tuesday that he was the "second-best receiver on the team."

After the comment, WR Chaz Schilens took offense, but on Thursday Schilens said he probably "said some stuff I shouldn't have." At the time Schilens challenged Cromartie to take it to the field. Jets coach Rex Ryan said Thursday of Cromartie's initial comment, "I think everyone laughed except Chaz. [Cromartie's] not the No. 2 receiver."

According to Schilens, he and Cromartie have worked things out.

Ryan held a team meeting on Wednesday following the Cromartie-Schilens dust-up.

"There were some issues I wanted to address," Ryan said. If I see an issue, I want to stay on top of it. We're going to be out in front of things and not behind things."
