Former NFL defensive lineman Adrian Robinson died Saturday night at the age of 25. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that Robinson hanged himself, PennLive.com reports.

Robinson signed with the CFL Hamilton Tiger-Cats on April 27 after spending brief periods with the Steelers, Broncos and Chargers. He also hooked on with the Redskins and Buccaneers, but saw no game action with either team.

The Harrisburg, Pa., native thrived at Temple before turning pro. He racked up 156 tackles and 22 1/2 sacks with the Owls and was named Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore. He had 12 sacks and 14 tackles for losses that season.
