Food poisoning sidelines McKnight: RB Joe McKnight was sidelined Wednesday with food poisoning so RB Bilal Powell stepped in, and he had a decent outing both running the ball and catching passes out of the backfield. In 2011, Powell appeared in just two games, rushing for a total of 21 yards with one reception for seven yards.

NT Sione Pouha suffers forehead injury: Pouha has a huge gash on his forehead that took "five or six" stitches to close. Both Pouha and coach Rex Ryan think Pouha will be
able to practice on Thursday, but the location of the injury and any swelling could make it difficult for him to get a helmet on.

LB Demario Davis returns: Davis was back on the field Wednesday. This year's
third-round pick can't practice in full pads until Friday since he just came off the PUP, but Davis is raring to go. He said on Wednesday that he's never before missed more than a day, so the past week was exceedingly difficult for him. Davis pulled a hamstring during the
team's conditioning testing before training camp.

OL Vlad Ducasse hurts knee: Ducasse went down with some sort of knee injury during Wednesday's practice. After being examined by trainers, he spent the rest of the practice standing off to the side. Ducasse said it was just a precaution to keep him out, and he expects to return on Thursday. Ducasse is battling Matt Slauson for the starting left guard spot.
